The corrugated plastic pipe which goes from the purge solenoid up to the bulkhead has split. Reading online I found a thread saying that the corrugated pipe has been replaced by a rubber one; all good. Phoning up to try to order that pipe, I've been told that it's not applicable to my car and that there's a single part which is that pipe, the solenoid itself, and the pipes out the other side. The price is very reasonable, but what's involved in fitting that? If I just buy the corrugated pipe replacement I can see it's really easy to fit. But the pipe out the other side of the purge valve disappears off under the air filter. Is that pipe easy to replace, or would I have to take the whole inlet manifold off, for example, if I bought the new part I'm being told to buy? Thanks!
