  1. I have had the same problem in my FL 60 plate VRS, I had the seat modified by classic car services of Leicester (not the first one they have done!),it is miles better but it still causes pain in my right thigh, I think the plastic surrounding the seat is the problem.
  2. I had the seat modified, they cut out the metal posts in the sides, removed some foam and added more padding on the main seat, it's a lot better. However I still find that the plastic surround does not allow the foam on the RHS to move and it end's up causing pain in my left thigh. I know of at least two other Octavia owners who are having the same problem. If you keep your knees together it's a lot better!!
  3. Might be interested in that, are they leather and heated and can you put a picture on? Thanks.
  4. Hi, what problems are you having with your seat? I am thinking of selling my 60 plate VRS as I can't live with the seats any more, they are so uncomfortable, the sides just seem to crush the sides of my legs, is anyone else having such problems?
  5. I have found that the drivers seat in my FL VRS MK2 has become uncomfortable, it doesn't have anything to do with the failing bolster's, but the RHS digs into my side where the plastic surround is higher, has anyone else experienced this? :S 27/10/10 These seats are killing me!, thinking of selling the car now, (probably cheaper to join weight watchers though!!!), is anyone else out there having problems with there thighs being crushed?

  7. SD (secure Digital) is the type of card and size you need their are others such as compact flash etc, but be careful as you can now get SDHC (high capacity) cards with lots of memory but your card reader will have to be SDHC comp. I have a SDHC card in my bolero, and it works but I keep on getting the message "Wrong Data Format, unable to read file" across the display so you can't see what the next track is. I am going to try an old SD card to see what happens. Make shouldn't make much difference read / write speeds should be ok also.
  8. YES! First had them on my Superb, picking up my new VRs on September the 1st, and it was the first extra I ordered.
  9. Ordered a Octavia VRS at the end of May and it's due in the country this week, can't pick it up until the 1st Sept though.
  10. Hi All, Does anyone know if it is possible to buy a satnav unit which you can sync to the Bolero unit via Bluetooth so that you could here turn directions through the speakers?
  11. Excellent garage, helped me out following major problems with two other more local Skoda garages, and I have just ordered a new VRS through them, well worth the hours drive to get to them.
  12. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( They had my Superb in to fix the well known leaking pollen filter and to carry out a service. They said they would remove all the carpets and dry them out, but instead they sent the car back within 24 hours saying they had completed a full service, dried out the car, renewed the front brake pads and repaired the pollen filter. The car came back soaking wet and with the brake warning light on....... so it went back..... on its return and after some rain it was soaking wet again....... so it went back again....... it then came back, this time with the airbag faulty light on (their driver didn't even notice it was on!)....... so it went to another more local ex skoda garage to have airbag reset but the diao said that the satnav was faulty! I checked and it said that the car was in the Birmingham area, just down the road from this garage. Autosales said that it had nothing to do with themB), and it was pure coincidence. I complained to Skoda uk and then the car was taken to ******* in ******* who fixed the leak (which had not been repaired correctly by Autosales) and repaired the damaged satnav cables, ******* also put my case forward for me and saved me a lot of money.
  13. has not set their status

  14. I have just had mine fixed, it if a free fix even if the car is out of warranty, just take it to a main dealer. The factory pays most of the bill and Skoda uk pay the rest. Phone Skoda uk on 08457745745 for more information.
  15. Hi Gismo, Thanks for the reply, the car was last serviced 20 months ago and it has only been 9450 miles in that time, if it was set to time then wouldn't the service message have come up before? I can also get the SERVICE NOW message to display by doing the following; 1) switch of the engine, press the B button (RHS of display), and hold it down. 2) switch the ignition on and release the reset button B. The text SERVICE NOW appears in the display. (Page 17 of the manual). What do you think about my two questions: Does anyone know if I should of had a previous warning such as 'Service in 1000km' etc? (as per page 17 of the owners manual). and If the sensor in the oil brings on the SERVICE NOW message, then why hasn't it come on since it was reset? Surely it would still be able to sense that the oil needs changing? Thanks.
