Does anyone know if the 15" steels I use in the winter on my 2006 Octavia will fit the 2013 VRS that I am just about to buy? I think that the pcd is the same but I am not sure if they will go over the calipers.

This may seem like the dumb question but does a 2006 Octavia 4*4 have a DMF fitted. Mine as now done 110,000 miles and shows none of the symptons listed in the various topics in these forums. Thanks

I have an 06 plate 60k mile Octavia 4*4, dealer maintained from new. Recently a howling noise has started from the rear end worst at 50-60mph.Similar to a failed diff or wheel bearing. Not having much faith in the local dealer, I took it to an independent who said that the Haldex clutch oil filter had probably never been changed as it is an awkward job and that would cure the noise. It has not. Last time I drove it there was the briefest of lock ups from the back axle sufficient to bring the ESP light on and for me to think "Now I have major problem". Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks
