  1. Yup tried that and no luck think it must have stripped a layer off the powdercoat If I use a tyre dressing on the alloy it comes up shiney again but only for about a couple of weeks
  2. Reason I ask is mine have done dull due to a car wash place using acid on the wheels. So I'm looking to get the shine back
  3. What's the best way to do this? Use scotchbrite to dull them first then spray a coat of lacquer over?
  4. Hi All, I have a Fabia vRS (Mk1) which is running at 178.9bhp and 334nm torque. Last weekend I had a full straight through system fitted, however with a result of taking the cat out I am now overboosting by around 300mbar. (This was shown up when it was on the dyno). I cannot have the turbo tweaked as when the car went onto the dyno my clutch wouldn't agree with it so i've had to postpone until I can get my new clutch. Tonight i've fitted a boost gauge so I can see what i'm boosting (in PSI). What should I be keeping the boost to safely without damaging my turbo? Ideally in PSI please. Any help given will be appreciated, Thanks, Ollie.
  5. How much for the pipe exhaust on it's own if Matt goes for the other?
  6. Just an idea and I apologise if it's a silly one lol, but these headlamps are in a fair bit of demand, through the forum on here and Facebook could you not set up a group buy, get a number of people enough to drop the price, may help a bit. Wingmirrorman are always up for a good deal which helps them and you. That's what I did as my budget was very low for these lamps. I had 10 people on it and took the price from £205 down to £185 to then £179. You may be able to knock the cost of what they have offered a a fair bit. Ollie
  7. £185 per headlamp? You sure? I paid £179.99 for a pair (black inserts). That was about 6-8 months ago.
  8. I won't be in Coventry when they are available which means i need to find somewhere else.
  9. Hi All, i'm after a place in Coventry (west midlands) or Southampton (Hampshire) that can do a mufflerectomy preferably with the powerflow pipe and tip. I've been to MR Tyre (Coventry) however they are completely full at the moment and cannot fit me in. Cheers, Ollie.
  10. Thanks, how much more than the group buy would I be looking at? (For example the 'pd130 asz with boost nipple')
  11. Hi Joel, Are there going to be any more group buys soon at all? Cheers, Ollie
  12. Yeah 300-310 is supposed to be limit, I'm just wondering what maximum over that limit other people have been running and how the stock clutch is lasting
  13. Hi All, Just wondering what torque figures people are running on a stock clutch with launch control? I'm running 177bhp & 328.9lbs ft torque with launch control. Cheers, Ollie
  14. Either buying a newly recon box and part exchanging my old one in, or just recon my old box. But at the moment I have no routes to take.
  15. Hi All, My gearbox is on it's way out, so I'm after a reconditioning company or a place to pick up a newly reconditioned gearboxes. If anyone can help would much appreciate it. Thanks, Ollie.
  16. There are so many choices, I like the black and silver Skoda ones but not a fan of the silver outline of the badge. My wheels are dark grey so the outline of the badge will show massively
  17. Hi All, I want to purchase some pasty boy stickers for my wheel centre caps, however I'm in decisive on what I want.. My car is a SILVER FABIA VRS so people could post below some ideas of what would look good I'd appreciate it please. My initial thought is the new style Skoda sticker black and silver one, but maybe a vRS one would look good. Cheers, Ollie
  18. Would a failing Dual Mass Flywheel effect overall power in any way? Cheers Ollie
  19. Ok thanks, I think I will stick with the original long one
