  1. 46 and come to car from a Scirocco 170TDi. Remarkable how similar they feel.....except leg and boot room!!
  2. Just a quick note to say what a nice piece of kit my just arrived Rearguard RBP447 is. Fits perfectly and is in very tough scratch resistant plastic. 4 dogs says it makes sense!
  3. Agree with the general tone and not the optimistic chap with the 'volatility issue' My Superb 170 is saying 50mpg give or take and yet brim to brim it is about 8% optimistic. This is exactly the same as the MFD on my previous Scirocco 170TDi which incidentally was about 5mpg worse than the Superb with exactly the same engine.....!

  7. Tony there is a lot of stuff on the main thread. Suffice to say that you should make sure Bluetooth is enabled on phone and 'always visible' turn off rsap in Bluetooth options on phone. MAke sure handsfree is ticked. Then decouple everything so no phone on car memory and no car on phone memory. Then start again. Put the Blackberry Bluetooth connection option to 'Listen' rather than 'search' and then go to the car contorls and ask the car to search for devices. The car will give you a 16 digit code and the phone prompts you to enter it on the phone. That should be it. Every time you switch on thereafter all you will get is an 'accept connection request from Skoda BT' which you say yes to on phone and you are away. Hope helps if garage hasn't managed!
  8. Thanks for help. How's the 4x4? I swithered and then chickened for tax reasons, but have lots of friends who are vets who love my car but want to know what 4x4 is like?!
  9. Cracked it at last. And yes as many have said it is just a question of unpairing everything, making sure the Blackberry is in 'listening mode' and ensuring the Blackberry Bluetooth settings are correct in options. SAP turned off in options and handsfree ticked on. Now properly paired and all I need to do is click yes on the BB when it askes if I want to pair to SKODA BT...... Phew!
  10. Could it be something to do with running BES rather than BIS on the Blackberry? All the BB issues seem to arise from their Enterprise Service?
  11. The part number is the NEW one as listed earlier in the thread. Deep breath and start again I think. Frustrating in the extreme.
  12. Hi I am in the same boat. There is a long long thread about phone compatibility so it looks like we are not the only ones. S
  13. If you do that the car says....'phone not compatible'. This is a stage worse than the intermittent connection I am getting. Off to the dealers...... I reckon that every Skoda/VW/Audi/Seat dealer in the country must have a queue of grumbling customers. It's not like Blackberry/HTC/IPhone are exactly uncommon! Until then my old Bluetooth Buddy gets dusted off and used. S
  14. Just taken delivery of a Black Magic 170 TDiSE Est and I am delighted. This car is the Tardis. Doesn't look or drive 'big' but is enormous. Had a 170 TDi Scirocco before and we swapped at home. Mrs B took small car option and I went large. The uncanny thing is how alike the VW and the Superb are. Ride quality, steering, tractability etc etc. Already showing 51mpg on computer. If anything doesn't seem any slower than the 'Roc. Once we sort the Bluetooth./Blackberry debacle I will be 100% happy! S
  15. Help!! My new Jul 2011 build Superb SE estate has factory Bluetooth upgrade (which I am of course paying for) was assured it would work OK with Blackberry Curve 9300. Initially all went perfectly. Just the same as my old Scirocco had with a Nokia phone. I entered top 6 numbers etc etc. Then nothing. Wouldn't pair, if it did dropped the line. Kept prompting a security code, said it was connecting and didn't. Also 'switched off' the Blackberry every time. So in top corner of phone screen was 'OFF". Very frustrating after a week in my lovely, fantastic new car to still be struggling with the Bluetooth. Half a mind to chuck the Crackberry back at the office and go back to Nokia brick! CAn anyone help? Is there something on the Blackberry Bluetooth settings that needs turning off? S
