yeah it was a good meet and mine and my mates first one so great to meet yourself and vRSSmith, and the VW lads i spoke to ,will keep an eye out for the next one and hopefully the weather will be a bit better, must say the 3 vRS's look well there

Shall you be there Swordstoke to boost the Skoda numbers , hoping there's going be a few of us there with various models

i'll be at Gables on 23rd folks missed the last one due to house move, be my first meet so looking forward to that and meeting fellow Skoda and VW owners

i had the aircon compressor replaced in first month or so of ownership sorted by dealer plus rear wheel alignment and 2 new tyres, but trust me what ever manufacturer you choose they all have issues, i once asked my mate who owns a garage what he'd recommend once and his reply was suit yourself they're all crap thats why i'm in the repair business because never be out of work, got to say my Hyundai coupe was very good but build quality bit poor, got 2 mates with Lexus and both been superb for about 4 years with no probs

Thats some taxi and a credit to you my mate is a taxi owner driver his car is tidy but not as mint as yours,i've noticed around here now alot more Octavias and a couple of Superbs being used as taxi's maybe they'll start to become as popular as the flood of avensis taxi's we have here, my mate runs a C5 estate which as just been bumped and his loan car was an Octavia and he was well impressed saying it will be his next taxi purchase

My aircon compressor went the day i picked my vRS up from the dealer 06 plate , to say i wasn't impressed is an under-statement made them pay for my meal before setting off home in july heat and no aircon , they ordered the new compressor but was on back order so had to wait a month but when all was fitted i was told how much the bill would have been if not under warranty i just drove off plus new coilpacks done under re-call so could'nt complain too much , may be a good idea about the waiting and claiming on a warranty though otherwise its an expensive job

MPG because i can't believe a 200bhp car can be so good i've seen 38.2 this week goin to work early in morn taking it very steady mind you its down hill from home then two dual carriageways goin home sees it drop to about 27 still good average though, reading on here what other members do i really need to play with the maxidot a bit more never knew you could have oil temp etc

decided to keep it for now its way too good to give a dealer for what would be about 4.5k tops then see it on the forecourt the day after with a 2 grand profit and they have'nt got to service or valet it, a change of plan for me now and carry on enjoying the car just had another compliment on the car makes ya realise what a good motor they are and how highly people regard Skoda now

i can see me keeping it to be honest didn't realise they were worth so low an amount

Looks a minter love that colour with the alloys on a spoiler would defo finish it off

Yes car has xenons it seems to have most of the options fitted from new , its also had a new aircon compressor and the coilpacks replaced under a re-call plus rear wheel alignment done , all 4 tyres in excellent cond and same brand Falken 452's, the car is silver with rear tints , alloys are immaculate,if any more info required can messenge me no probs

Thanks again for the replies if they're fetching about 4k as stever 750 mentioned i'll be keeping it but like you say Bluevrs2 there are some rough ones about i spent couple months looking when i bought this ended up travelling a few miles and purchased from main dealer i wanted good spec and this one had 18" zeniths,maxidot,jumbo pack,elec sunroof,parking sensors,cruise etc and full skoda history and 1 owner so was worth the wait but i can't give it away , hofmiester saying upto 5.5 k is getting there but would hope for more might just try and ad soon see how it goes

Thanks all for your replies so far it is true the market does seem to be quiet at the moment, i was shocked as to how few are available but reading your replies its true summer hols etc and the pending september new reg its hard to sell , but going to have a re-think because the car is immaculate and spec is very high so don't want to trade it in and give a dealer a cracking car for little money and as mentioned ebay is full of them so limits the private sale option
