  1. I was at the Skoda dealer today with my car. I did not have high expectations that they would solve my crappy virtual pedal function, but fooled i was. They told me that there was an official recall campaign issued just a couple of days ago related to this function. The official name of the recall action is 96e2. They changed an ECU and updated some software. This actually solved my problem 100%. The funtion now works as a charm...
  2. I have tried all the suggestions in this thread but without success. It is still a crappy function..
  3. I can add that the car has a factory installed retractable hitch. I have always had the hitch retracted when I tried to use the "virtual pedal".
  4. I have a MY17 Superb L&K with "virtual pedal" function and it functions really bad. I have only managed to get the boot to open/close a few times in the now approx 4 weeks that I had the car. Most of the time that I try it will not react at all. The few times that it does actually work, I can repeatedly use the function multiple times. To me it sounds like a software issue, waiting for some kind of enable or "allow" signal that does not come. I have followed the user manual instructions to quickly "kick" the foot underneath the middle of the rear bumber, I have also tried to follow the salesmans tips to more slowly kick the foot. It does not make any difference. I must look like a fool standing kicking the rear of the car in the parking lot with shopping bags in boths hands. Anyone with similar experience? This makes me wanna claim money back for a function that I have payed for but have not got.
  5. Excuse my ignorance, but what is PLA?
  6. Did you perhaps use another key than before? I believe the Personalisation function personalise the radio presets.
  7. I am a bit confused by reading this thread. Is there nobody that have enabled Lane Assist & Emergency Assist on a MY17 Superb??
  8. As i have understood, cars with the "personalisation" feature (seats, mirrors, radio, drive mode selector and so on) comes with 3 keys. Perhaps this feature was introduced on MY17.
  9. Why not just start the engine, get out of the car and pour a bottle of water on the sensor?
  10. Yes i believe so. Have not tested it myself but reading on the Skoda web page leads me to the conclusion that it is included if you order the factory fitted towbar. http://www.skoda-auto.com/en/models/hotspotdetail?HotspotName=S05+-+TSA+%5BOctavia%2C+Yeti%2C+Superb%5D&Page=technology&PageUrl=%2Fen%2Fmodels%2Fyeti%2Fpages%2Ftechnology.aspx&view=TechnologySafety&WebID=e9741374-c026-48a1-bcc1-7136e03f01ef&WebPartID=
  11. I recently tried to use the online configurator (in Sweden) and found out that If I spec a Superb L&K 4x4 DSG 190hp I will not get the choice of opting for progressive steering. But if I however try a similar configuration but with a Style I get the option... Strange..
  12. Ok, withstanding an icecream drop might be to much to ask for, but for example a sticky candy or simply sand and snow that the kids can bring in to the car on their clothing. Will it easily be removed or will I forever have the sand inside my rear seats until they get full?
  13. I have just placed an order for a Superb estate L&K 190hp Business grey with black perforated leather seats. What strikes me now when I look at some pictures (google) is that it seems as if also the rear seats are perforated even though, as I understand it, there are no fans in the rear seat. It makes me a bit worried, having two kids, that the rear seats will not be as easy to clean as my current Octavia with standard (not perforated) leather seats. Does anyone has any experience with the perforated (ventilated) seats with regards to keeping them clean? Can I for example take a damp paper and clean up a dropped icecream without having the seat interior (trough the ventilation holes) full of foulness?
  14. lolI have found extra lights for older octavias and other Skoda models. For example on page 7 in the following document http://www.skoda.se/SiteCollectionDocuments/Tillbehörsbroschyrer/Kampanjbroschyr.pdf
  15. Both... At the same time.... By a moose....(I should not type on the ipad at the same time as i am eating....)
  16. that is totally true booke23. And these mooses are not so very fun to crash into when they jump up from the ditch. My current MY2012 Superb has ..well.. superb headlights since there is bith the bixenon and normal lights atvthecsame time. My Superb has perfect low and high beam. I am afraid that I will be dissapointed and/or killed byba moose with the new octavia III.
  17. As the headline says, have anyone here fitted extra headlights to your car? I have read in a couple of reviews on the octavia ( with bixenon) that the lowbeam gives a wide and good light, but the highbeam is very short. The test said that the highbeam had such a short range that it was not possible to measure the width of the beam since that is made at 150m and at this range the beam was not possible to measure... Reading this test started me to think about getting some extra headlights fitted. I have not recieved the car yet so i have not yet decided on how to do. Hence my question.. I mightbe a bit concerned spoiling the looks of the car by doing this. Or obstructing the front assist radar sensor, or maybe disabling the automatic highbeam assist. Any ideas? 18. I could find the function quite useful. For example if you are driving on a road or in a city which is new for you with perhaps hour focus on reading road signs or watching out for traffic. If then a police car turns up behind you it would be comforting to have a quick look at the maxidot to see if you are driving faster than allowed. I mean instead of standing on the brake for no use in case you are not sure if you are speeding or not.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
  19. My concern is if the iphone 5 with a 30 pin to lightning adapter will fit inside the dedicated antenna amplifier space. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
  20. Have anyone taken delivery of a satnav (for example (columbus) together with a mitsumi port for an iPhone? What i am interrested in knowing is if there are different cables available that fits both the iPhone 4 and iPhone5. Or if an adapter is needed in order to use the lightning contact of the iPhone5? 21. I read somewhere in this forum that voice control did not work in Norweigan. Has anyone from Sweden taken delivery yet and can you use voice control in Swedish? My car will have Columbus when it arrives in a few weeks.
