Out of interest what's a PD engine, also has anyone been brave enough to run it on 50/50 diesel/biodiesel, not sure these engines are common rail? My Modus will run on it at that mix but the injectors ain't to fond of it Thanks all

Hey martinch thanks for that. Forgot to mention its a 1.9tdi Comfort. To be honest it looks a really nice motor, not like the days of old lol. I would imagine mpg would be OK for steady driving and the estate looks nice and roomy, pity I didn't buy one in the first place!! Thanks..

Hey all, I'm thinking of getting shot of my Renault Modus dCi - while it's super economical quick and cheap it's one big pain in the ar$e when something goes wrong due to a real lack of engine space, it also has inherent problems with turbo's, crank oil starvation etc.... Anyhow my attention has turned to a V Reg Skoda Comfort tdi. Don't know much about the motor so any thought's on the lumps they use, parts prices, any common engine faults and fuel system faults would be great.. I'm a complete neurotic when it comes to cam-belts and servicing so a difficulty rating from 1-10 would also be spot on. Thanks
