Clutch Master Cylinder failures.
kewill23 replied to kewill23's topic in Skoda Kodiaq MKI (2017-2023)
Hi Guys,The car is diesel. The fly wheel is reported as having found to have raised surfaces / hotspots whilst the securing bolts were not as tight as they should be. The dealer has stated that the flywheel issue is not a warranty matter which surprises me. The master cylinder is warranted and clutch plate was contaminated so covered too. - just can't get OEM parts due to a nationwide shortage and being on back order. will challenge again about the fly wheel as thats certainly not an expected failure under normal motoring conditions and use. -
My Kodiak ( 2020 4x4 manual 150 PS ) has just suffered a cylinder failure causing complete clutch loss. The hydraulic fluid loss was total and now that it is with the main dealer. Upon dismantling the gear box its clear that the cylinder has failed and also contaminated the clutch plate which fortunately are covered by the extended warranty. What isn't apparently covered is the Flywheel and securing bolts holding it that have come loose and need replacement and as the car has only done 34K. I'd ask those that may know if this is out of the ordinary and is it a defect that should be warranty covered. Any thoughts or advice please.

Plastic door protectors... self closing

Has anyone experienced the plastic sewrvi driven door protectors breakinbg off as you close a door. I had one broken as it didn't close fully as the door was closed. it in fact snapped it clean off. Car is a Feb 2020 brand new purchase. ( 150 ps 4x4 tdi 5 str LS ) a warranty call was made but the Covid situation is making repair time slots almost impossible and Skoda are not offering a courtesy car which would be vital considering the distance to the dealer. Surely this is a recall problem if its happened. anyone else know of a similoar problem. Thanks Guys

Hi Folks I have a Elegance 2.0 140BHP PDi turbo Est 06 plate. I've just had the amber warning light come on my panel to tell me that there is a fault exists in an " Exhaust Relevant component" Have driven it home gently as required in the owners handbook but can't get into a garage till late next week. can anyone tell me what is the known causes of this fault warning which I read is part of the engine management system. More importantly. what harm may be done if i drive it any further ? Would be grateful for any info on those that have shared this problem in the past. Cheers

REAR SCREEN WASHER Failure
kewill23 replied to kewill23's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I have now spoken to Charlotte at Skoda Customer service HQ a manager no less !! She tells me that there has been no problems reported and does not have a recall report logged anywhere my local garage told me they had this problem often.... Skoda say they know nothing ! and repairs are electronically stored nationally I understand Seems like Skoda know but are in denial...... Any views on how to elevate the problem as its crazy to have such a simple problem go wrong and the corrosion factor is potentially worrying with all the water sloshing about after the pipe blows off. -
Hi can anyone tell me if Skoda are doing anything about the problem of the rear screen washer delivery I have an 06 Elegance estate and the screen wash pipe continually parts company for reasons unknown This has been seen by my local garage and the repairs mount up as its in a part of the car thats not easy to sort (Under and behind the CD player- boot mounted) All I'm told is that its a skoda design fault and there's nothing that can be done about it as there hasn't been a recall statement nor any modifications made available by Skoda. Anyone else suffering the same issues and whats the best way to get Skoda to fix this... I don't think I should have to keep paying out for a blown water delivery system to be fixed even out of warranty. Thanks Keith
