  1. I went awesome gti,in Manchester, took a couple of hours but they were really good,I go to them for all my parts.
  2. I have always you 97 Ron petrol and the oil the manual says,I've had no problems with mine, you should let your car warm to 90 before you go for a spirited drive,as for upgrades I've got apr stage 1,forge intercooler, induction kit, dump valve and had the middle silencer removed and goes very well!!
  3. I went for the apr map on my 2012 fab VRS and it turned it into a different car,the power is very noticeable, the mpg has gone up but it has voided the warranty because they have got to cut out the ecu to put the map on,another good thing about the apr map is if you decide you want to go stage 2 they will do it for nothing
  4. Have you looked at getting braided brake hoses, that will take alot of the spongey enough away, mark octy VRS lines will fit.
  5. Found this on the net http://www.ricambituning.it/en/product1.asp?id=841&cat=52&mn=SKODA&sr=Fabia Any good?
  6. They lower less but ride quality is much better,h&r springs are really crashy
  7. I've already got h&r springs on so you won't see much of a difference
  8. Vwr have got there own stand there,I payed £160 for them
  9. I went to the autosport show today, there was loads to see and bargains to be had, which couldn't turn down and saving a few quid (thanks to quitting smoking and Christmas) I treated my fab to some new kit, which included... •VRW springs •forge actuator •braided hoses and decent brake fluid I'm going to have a full day fitting it all tomorrow.
  10. The Evo triangle is where Evo magazine test cars it an epic bit of B road in north Wales,it's not blue smoke just soot.
  11. I took my fab for a spirited drive over the Eco triangle today,my mate driving behind me driving an s3 (who couldn't keep up with me) said my car was smoking when I put my foot, any help or advice what it could be or how to sort it??
  12. Get it mapped and a decent induction kit and if will blow your mind!
  13. Thanks Sean I'll give them a ring and get a quote off them.
  14. Hi all, thought I'd start a build thread, any help or advice would be appreciated. I bought my fabia February 2011,I had a impreza 2.5 turbo before,I love that car but cost too much to run day to day,so I waon the hunt for a fun and fast day to day drive,I went to the autosport show and skoda had a stand with the VRS on it,instantly I loved the boxy looks and the figures the dealer was telling, the next day I rang my local dealer and arranged a test drive,I fell for it as soon as I drove it,three weeks later I picked my car. It's the blue one,I got it with black wheels as the only option,I didn't really care for any thing else,I kept it standard for a year and then started to get bored so started doing some research on modding, first mod was springs I didn't like how high it was. I went for the h&r springs, there ok but a bit crashy, next was a dump valve,I got a deal at awesome gti that I couldn't turn down, love the wooosh!! Noise it makes,a bit Chavvy but still good. Next was the exhaust,I wanted a bit more noise from it so I went for the cheap and cheerful option,I got a pal at demon tweeks to cut out the middle silencer and weld in a new pipe, only cost £20 bargain! Sounds a lot better!! Next was an induction kit, I bought a forge set up off eBay only cost £90 so was a bit of bargain,I put it on a ran with it for a bit It's set up well but doesn't work well, too small,no extra power and sounds the same as the oem box. Next was either a remap or tuning box,I opted for a remap after getting a good price from awesome gti It was scary watching them rip out the ecu with a grinder but after a couple of hours it was done, took the car for a brisk drive and wow what a difference!!! Why didn't I get it sooner!!
  15. The one I got is 70-130 fitted nicely
  16. It will be hot tho when it's idle,I'm thinking of putting some air vents in the bonnet
  17. Cold air comes in from through the grill where the oem air box got air from,I understand that it will be getting warm air aswell but that set up is just for starters,I'm going to get some more ducting in the next week or so,as for the same as the forge kit,it really isn't the cda is wider and longer with a better filter in it
  18. As promised a couple of pics, sorry if its a bit dark
  19. After long thoughts about what induction kit to get there were a couple options.. 1.forge 2.itg However..I already had a forge one which I purchased off eBay but didn't like it and didn't give any real power gains and I couldn't face paying £300 for the itg so after a bit of research I stumbled across a bmc cda on eBay for £12,it was the box and filter only so I used the piping off the forge kit and all fitted nicely, sounds and go really well hopefully I'll get some pics up soon.
  20. The forge intercooler is a lot better than the induction kit!! Not sure you will get the deal I got though,no harm in asking tho! It's only £540 fully fitted aswell but I don't mine my self.
  21. I got mine from awesome for £380 when they had their sale on and all demons tweeks could was match it and I've got a mate who works there and that's all he could do
  22. Is it going to stage 2 without a full exhaust system?
  23. Where can I get one from, fabia VRS battery under bonnet, your help would be appreciated.
