6 Paddle Clutch & DMF from CG Motorpsorts
NoSmokeNoPoke replied to Mounty's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
I drive a 6 paddle CG as a daily drive and dont find it any problem? It is a bit grabby and quite on/off but nothing that bad. Really dont know why people get so funny about them? -
Stage 2 power and beyond - Insurance?
NoSmokeNoPoke replied to vRS Joe's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Same here. Im 28 (MK1 vrs, hybrid turbo ~220bhp and all the other bits) and pay exactly £500, Sky quote at £525, then Flux beat them. Oh, and Flux didnt want any pictures from me? Maybe because they are a broker, it depends who you actually are insured by? -
Sorry, but thats too low. £200 is already a bargain. If it doesn't sell on ebay by the weekend, i'll look into listing it in there for more but with postage as people are interested, just not from the south!

STILL FOR SALE - £200 anyone?

New clutch, Sachs, Helix, Darkside?
NoSmokeNoPoke replied to lemadrell's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
It's fine - took some getting used to as it was initially quite grabby (in a good way!) Drives as normal now - apart from the chatter! -

CG Motorsport 6 paddle clutch with SMF here and nearly done 20k with no niggles to date EDIT, running around 220bhp on a hybrid turbo. -
I'm pretty sure the difference between stage1/2/3 for the PD150 turbos are: Stage1: Bigger turbine internals Stage2: Cut back exhaust side blades - quicker spool/flows more exhaust gasses Stage3: Bigger exhaust side wheel, but i've heard they are a pain to control when mapping. Mine too was mapped and tweeked by the guys at Dirty Torque. Fantastic service as mentioned above and still going strong 10k miles later

I know not posting is limiting, but its hard to post things like this at the company i work for. Thanks MattH. To get the old exhaust off you need to make one cut as it runs over the axle - silly skoda design. This one has a sleeve joint so it simply bolts on. I did this on my own on my drive with just a jack, axle stands and a few spanners. Thanks all.
