Part exchange prices are dependant on too many things. They basically aren't worth the paper they are written on.

I think with the details you have listed, it would be a crying shame to drop a £50 halfords special head unit in there. Get a Skoda one from the period off eBay. It will look a lot better, and will avoid putting off buyers who will go .... oh. The only way aftermarket ICE works is when it is done properly. You are selling the car, you shouldn't be doing it properly.... you are doing it to sell.

Hi Folks, It does use a little bit of oil every now and again after the breather mod, but there aren't many (any?) modern turbocharged petrol's that don't to my knowledge. Since the breather mod I'm below the 1l per 1000 miles maximum that Skoda say is within tolerance. To put it into perspective, I've now done nearly 1000 miles of mixed usage since the service at 27000 miles, and I checked the dipstick the other morning using the correct procedure and all was good in the world. George, I'll drop you a PM I agree regarding the letter by the way. If he was desperate to somehow get a new engine - I'm not sure how he could prove it with this car now as the issue appears to be resolved - it obviously still does have the balance of the manufactures warranty for him to try and do that, but I'm unsure why he would want to.

I'll continue to say what I've fitted to mine, even though I'm on my way out of the fold. Goodyear Eagle F1 AS2's. It literally makes no sense to buy another tyre unless you want a track tyre, or a winter tyre.

Just regarding my above post. I'm probably being slightly unrealistic on a £500 part ex, as in reality I wouldn't want that sort of car ! Probably closer to the £2k mark, but it would need to be the right car. I'm not a dealer, and it would end up being my second car.

I think its important to realise that December & January are slow months for car sales. I've got a 2011 Fabia vRS Estate for sale on here and elsewhere, loads of views, loads of people following and dropping e-mails asking for details, but people are busy seeing family and being on holiday. Give it a couple of weeks and you'll see people feeling better after christmas expenditure and buying again. At this price point cars move a bit quicker than elsewhere.

Car looks lovely. Do you have any pictures of the interior at all? Would be good if you could list the make and model of tyres, and give a breakdown of the service history (Date, Mileage, Garage Details)
