It's very 'fragile' isn't it lol. I have the fuel resistant lacquer here but gazebo blew down before I could get it on so its naked now lol. You gotta be real careful as even some wheel cleaners can dissolve it. How did you do your repair did you peel the whole panel and do it again? When pulling my window mask I had a slight tear under the window which I was dead annoyed about and also a bad bit on the rear bumpe where th gazebo side blew against it when wet lol

First time running ds2500....damn they're dusty! This is 70 road miles later! But the other thing...70 miles! I've actually driven it 70 miles on the road! All is good, clutch release bearing sounds totally knackered though do I'll be pulling the gearbox off next week. Here's another pic to show how crazy this colour is -

Cheers mate looks good in pics but there's a number of imperfections sadly. The bloody sides of the gazebo blew in and stuck to the wet read quarter lol. Thankfully I can just peel the rear quarter off and redo the section down the line! I have a litre of both the matte and gloss top coats and was gonna stick to matte with a small amount of gloss chucked in to get a proper satin/semigloss finish

Haha yes mate! Used the paint from CardipUK much better suited to cars than plastidip. I also have their fuel and solvent resistant lacquer here but my gazebo fell apart before I could apply it!!

Did a thing with some stuff

Diff rebuild complete, did my own stud conversion too for the grand total of £4 using 4 high tensile cap heads with the heads chopped off rather than £40 that companies charge for 4 studs and 4 nuts!! Mounted up a dream thanks to the studs. The original bolts are an utter ball ache to line up with a 38kg diff dangling off a jack! I also cleaned and painted the prop and replaced the fuel tank due the the old one rotting and leaking! Spot the pretty Revshift trans mounts!

Yeah after the e30 era BMW seemed to go really long diffs! 4.27 you could easily pull off in second but also spin up in almost any gear haha! Nice delivery today! My Mirco RS1 winged bucket seat I ordered a while back with custom white stitching! Perfect perfect fit for me, I'm 6ft1ish and a 32/34" waist and I'd say anyone bigger than me has no chance I'm nice and snug in it. I will get the wider RS2 for the passenger side so I can take passengers of all sizes in the car! Currently sat watching the football in it lol

Yeah the small case LSD I had originally came up very cheap so I stuck it on. I don't think it would have stood much abuse from the m52 to be fair. The 4.1 would have been a hoot to drive but generally way way too short. The standard e36 diff ratio is aroun 3 or even 2.9. So a 3.73 will be really really revvy and exciting and give me a top speed hopefully around 130mph as I won't need more than that on track and 1st may just about be useable! I drove the car a short while on the standard 4.27 and it was ridiculously funny

Haha thank you! A good clean, subtle lows and some nice wheels was the original plan the carbed engine was a pig so plans soon changed!

I'm sure recently they took in number 30 and have 12 advertised so I'd guess 18 have sold so far since mid April. Good little venture. Demand is out stripping current supply so people are willing to pay a couple K over the odds

Wheel change! Dropped from my 16 inch team dynamics with big 55 profile tyres to some nice MIMs 1900 15 inch alloys with federal rsr tyres. They are rather close to the calipers.... Front wheels need rebalancing with lip mounted weights that you get on steels. Needs must! Had a 2.5" exhaust custom made by a local couple of lads who are just starting out their own company called DR Autotech. Anyone in South Wales are they're well worth giving a shout. Weight saving is huge. The standard system must have been 30kg+ the new one less than 10! I've also pulled my small case LSD from the car and sold it for profit and bought a super rare 4.1 ratio medium case LSD and a 3.7 open diff. Combine the two and I get a 3.73 LSD and sell on my 4.1 ratio bits to recoup some costs! Whilst I was at it I overhauled the entire internals of the LSD with new clutches and dog ear plates. I added an extra clutch and dog ear which takes it from 25% to 40% locking! The missus is very understanding allowing me to do this on the kitchen table...

Which farb bushes are you using? I bought Superpro ones which were a right pain, I ended up shaving a few mm off the bottom of the bush and still had to use a jack/clamps to get the bugger bolted up!

Cage looks good Dan but a couple of points you may/may not know. The spreader plate bolts supplied with my safety devices cage were all 10.8 high tensile cap heads so may be worth noting or they're a bit over the top I don't know, also your spreader plates for the main hoop should ideally be 120 square cm and made from 3mm steel. Love the car man

I think they're different size punches you shove through cork to make bottle stoppers etc. Looks very fancy but little real world use lol
