My car has just turned over 9000 miles and is still using alot of oil. O have just had the car serviced at the Skoda Garage in Cambridge, and they have advised me to come back in 500 miles, and they will do an oil consumption test. They have advised me that it might need a new engine, on a new car i said? They explained that this is an issue with the 1.4 vw engine and its to do with the value seals been the wrong size. Not very good in a new car!!!

My Skoda Fabia Vrs Mk2 is burning about 2 litres of oil every 1000 miles, has anybody else had any issues with regards to their cars burning oil? Thanks :(

How do you get the dipped head lights out, as they have not got the usual spring loaded clip on the back, it there a knack of getting these out, as i want to change the bulbs for Phillips Extreme Bulbs

I am hoping that you maybe able to help me, i have a vrs fabia on an 11 plate, with chrome head lights surrounds The lights are completely useless in the dark, i know that sound silly, but on dipped, you can not drive above 40mph, as you cannot see the corners comming up. Is there anyway that i can make the Headlights better, before i have an accident, driving the car in the dark. Its going back to Skoda tomorrow to get some of the rattles looked at, has anybody else had similar issues?

I have just bought an x demo Skoda Fabia vrs, the cars great, but the door cards rattle really badly, And there seems to be a loud rattle somewhere in the dash board, has anyone else had similar problems? On a plus note i am averaging 42 mpg Thanks Tim

I do cycle to work, but in the winter, its not a safe cycle ride. Anyway i was really interested in the mpg

Hello, i am hopin that you can help me, i have put a deposit down for a Fabia Vrs 1.4, but i am worried as i have been told that they do not do the 47mpg average that they should do, and its more like 25 mpg. If this is the case, 25 mpg, it not very good, so i thought i would asked before i commit to life spent in petrol stations. My journey to work, is only 6 miles most of which is spent on the motorway, but i do drive up to scotland and down to cornwall, so i hope on these journeys i would see better mpg figures. Do any of you lot, get the figures that Skoda published? Thank again Tim
