Had mine pop apart literally as I just joined the motorway from the slip road. I only had my cam belt changed 2 days prior so was thinking the worst before the breakdown man said it was just a pipe that came apart.

My 56 plate VRs has now done 126,000 miles. It has been serviced every 10,000 miles since new, had its cam belt changed for the second time a few months ago, anti roll bar bushes replaced and still on original clutch and exhaust system (as far as I know).

Unfortunately this was the sign of my car on Thursday of last week. The pipe coming away from the Turbo popped apart so I was told by man from the AA. Wasn't the best when a loud bang, sudden loss of power and smoke start coming from behind of car when on the motorway. At least I managed to crawl it into layby just off the motorway without too many issues with what little power there was available.

I won't add my name down yet as it is a long time away yet but will try and make myself free that day and be there.

I found a good road a few weeks ago, I was on my way home from Swansea so tried a different route, turned off M4 at Port Talbot (J40) and went on the A4107 up to Treorchy. That was a nice scenic route although was a bit cloudy and foggy by the time I reached the highest point. We will have to try getting something organised then for newbies like me to meet up with some others from here.

Well I am nearer Porth actually than Pontypridd. I am free most evenings and weekends at the moment.

As another newbie I am up for a meet sometime.

Picked up the Fabia this evening. Great car, looking forward to doing a lot of driving in it now.

Hello all, Bought myself a 2007 Fabia vRS last week, picking it up in a few days. Been reading a number of posts on this forum and found it very useful when researching the vehicle and what to look for when I was searching for the car.

I am new to this forum, am picking up my Fabia vRS in a few days. If there is another meet my name will be down.
