  1. Hi All, Has anyone else noticed any panel deformation around the door handles of their SM. At first I thought they were dents caused by careless drivers but the dents are in exactly the same place around the handles (especially the front)on both sides of the car. Looking at other makes of cars I have noticed this on them as well, the Ford Fiesta is particularly bad. Is there a weakness in the metal that makes this area susceptable to stress when the handle is pulled?
  2. I have had my 1.2 DSG SM for 5 months now and am averaging 44MPG. This is mainly based on a 40 mile round trip to work 5 days a week which is a mixture of urban/extra urban driving.
  3. Thanks all, I will get the dealer to have a look
  4. Hi all, my first post. I have a strange electrical fault with my SM. I noticed that the light in the front passenger door was not working so assumed that the bulb had blown. I checked the bulb and found it to be OK. When I put it back the light came on so assumed loose connection. The next day when I came out from work and got in my car I noticed the light was out again. This time I also noticed that the door open indication on the display was not working on the front pasenger door or the courtesy lights being operated. All other doors worked. Annoyed, I drove home but when I got out the car all three functions were working again! Since then I have made a note of what time it does and does not work. I have found that when the temperature in the car rises the functions stop working, i.e hot sunny day in car park. Driving home with the air con on cools the interior down and hey presto! starts working again. This fault is temperature related but not sure what is failing to be causing it. Any ideas? :wonder:
