  1. Went today to Skoda for diagnostics, got info that mechatronics circuit (harness) plate should be replaced (they are confident 99% that should solve the issue). Total cost of the repair is around 700eur (~300eur for the DSG oil, 270eur service fee, 27eur for the circuit plate πŸ™‚and the rest for the other small parts). 2Y warranty provided. I decided to go with offical Skoda dealer as I got info it's a bit tricky to replace the circuit plate since you need to be careful not to damage TCU. Also, there is a warranty offered unlike unofficial workshop. Hopefully they are wright πŸ™‚
  2. No, it's stuck in 2nd gear only and it does not change to 3rd or 4th even if I reach 3500rpm. Skoda official workshop won't bother with circuit plate change (this is a part of mechatronic itself) as they are saying only TCU or the whole mechatronic could be changed (the cost is around 1000eur or 2000eur respectively). On the other side, unofficial workshop is willing to try with circuit plate replacement as there were cases where this was the reason of such fault code.
  3. Forgot to mention that I am on 90.000km right now without DSG oil change yet (somehow it should be changed at 120k per instructions). Also, I noticed that each time I had an issue with the mentioned fault code, car was driven for a while and it never happened before engine reached it's working temperature.
  4. I drive Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI 150PS Y2019 with DSG DQ381. Last couple of days I am occasionally strugling with "Gearbox in safe mode. You can drive on" message where the car is stucked in 2nd gear afterwards. After restarting the car, the message disappears and I could drive normally until it happens again after some time (for the instance, I drove 40km without any issues until it happened again). I did a basic diagnostic and found fault code P174A00 - Valve 3 in partial Transmission 1 - electrical error (Passive/Sporadic). Independent workshop suggested contact (harness) plate of the mechatronics should be changed (part no. 0GC927709A) as it looks like TCU is loosing connection with valve 3. This coud be replaced for around 200eur. On the other side, Skoda of course suggested whole mechatronics replacement which is around 2000eur. Should I give it a try with harness plate replacement?
  5. I have changed door locking module, it cost me around 100eur at independent workshop. Looks like the problem is solved now.
  6. I just noticed that when my car is parked outside during the sunny and hot day for couple of hours, the door is unlocking normally each time i tried. I also noticed some grease popping in the door latch. It looks like this grease gets somehow hardened when the car is parked in a garage or the place where it is not hot so door latch struggles to open. I compared the movement of door latches from passenger door and drivers door and it really seems that drivers door latch need more push to get it open. Maybe I should try first to lubricate the door latch.
  7. Now I am getting the driver's door unlocked only in 10% cases. I am definitely going to visit garage for a check...
  8. This totally makes sense since the issue cannot be reproduced after I drive the car for some time. Looks like the battery does not have required voltage level to unlock driver side door (but somehow has for the other doors!?) and when the battery is charged after some driving the issue is gone. By the way, my battery is 2 years old. Additionally, yesterday I changed the setting for the central locking, I switched it off and set it back again to open all the doors and this morning I did not face the issue as well throughout the day. I doubt this solved the issue but fingers crossed :) I will check it again tomorrow morning.
  9. I drive Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI 2019 and I am facing central locking issue only with the driver's door. Each morning when I try to unlock my car with a keyfob, all the doors except the driver's door get unlocked. Tried couple of times to lock and unlock again with keyfob but driver's door cannot be unlocked otherwise than by opening them from the inside using door knob. The strange is also that I can lock all the doors with a keyfob but only driver's door cannot be unlocked centrally (either with a keyfob or by using the central locking button in the car). However, if I drive the car for some some time (e.g. more than 30mins) the issue dissapears and the central locking works normally throughout the day until the next morning. Also, I noticed that when I am opening the driver's door it looks like door latch just slightly touches the door striker unlike for the other doors. I didn't notice that the door droped on the hindges or anything like this, I checked the driver's door for this. Any thoughs on this?
  10. I am experiencing exactly the same mysterious coolant loss (5mm drop in expansion tank after 3000km). I found it a year after the replacement of faulty water pump at 40k on a dashboard once I got low coolant warning light. Took the car to the dealer garage, they put the system under pressure but haven't found any visible leakage so they just topped the coolant and told me to monitor the level. Also, it seems that the water pump is working fine, it's totally new and was replaced in warranty with original part. So in case it is EGR cooler leakage, could it be detected somehow outside the cooler? @Nygaard did you manage to solve it?
  11. It seems that rattling is caused by the vacuum oil pump until oil temperature reaches 60 degrees. Skoda declares it as a normal behavior caused by the engine construction. I found it's a common noise also experienced by the other owners of Skoda 2.0 TDI engine, you can find more details in this thread:
  12. Yeah, it is strange also that once the engine gets warmed that rattling dissapears. I guess it has something with the belts. Also I need to check additionaly this coolant loss as there are no visible signs of leakage but I know there is a small leak somewhere. I guess that garage did only basic check using the pressure so I need to ask them to do the detail inspection (e.g. to check water pump, EGR cooler etc.)
  13. I noticed strange rattling sound coming from from the engine upon a cold start and after some time sound disappears. It looks like it's coming from belts or water pump which was replaced 20.000km ago at 40.000km. The pump is working fine after the replacement even though I noticed certain coolant leakage (let's say 5mm of coolant level dropped during last 3.000km) without any visible trace. Even my dealership garage didn't found any leakage by putting the cooling system under the pressure. I am driving Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI DSG from 2019 currently with 60.000km on the dashboard. Here you can find the rattling sound from the engine: Did someone experienced the same noise or might have a clue what's going on?
