My Skoda Rapid just passed the MOT - I had a worry about my brakes. Had a service prior to MOT and the garage engineer felt that there was a problem with the brake servo. Apparently was tested twice in the MOT, first time a failure but passed on second attempt. Consequently I was happy that it passed MOT, but was apprehensive with the braking system - pulling to the near side. So took it to another garage (Mr Tyres) and they checked tyres (of course!) and the tracking was adjusted. But now it feels as if it is pulling to offside. Not happy driving the car. If it is the servo that's the problem - how easy would it be to purchase a replacement servo (new or second hand and what would be the cost and of the fitting? OR should I think of a Fabia Estate second hand? The Rapid has an excellent boot capacity, and I like the appearance of it. Oh why did Skoda discontinue the Rapid? The residual value of the car is about £2,000. I am happy with the car otherwise. I really don't want to change it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanking you in anticipation.
