  1. I fitted the oem removable towbar and full oem electrics. In theory straight foward but took a whole day and ended up tweaking a few bits as I wanted the loom to go the correct way Then you need to programme the new setup to enable TSP, alarm etc etc Very handy around cars and was shocked it ended up stealing a day off me lol DG
  2. Seems to work well on mine and 3psi difference is usually a sign of something not right Mine has come on due to slow punture, new tyres fitted and forgot to reset does what it states on the tin - nice little saftey feature Run std pressures in mine as per the fuel cap Sure it 2.2 bar rears and either 2 or 2.1 fronts Upto 2.2 front and 3bar rears fully loaded and I got about 2.5/6 bar when trailering the track beastie 2011 vrs estate cr DG
  3. I have used my octavia vrs estate (2011 CR) and went with oem tow bar and wiring. Towed my trailer (small but wide twin axle) and race car which is about 550kg and a dream to tow. Also towed my VX220 turbo which is more like 940kg and again no trouble at all - not weighed the trailer I did trailer a friends VX220 last week using his brian james sprint shuttle beastie thing (1000kg on its own) and could def feel the drag but still towed fine but killed the mpg I do find 60mph loaded is 34-38mpg - 70mph when empty is 38-low 40's mpg all day...I mean 60mph Power fine but can induce wheelspin on hills if I get all cant be bothered to wait but adjusting driving style as with most situations solves the issue Steady as a rock and has the TSP in backup - never towed a caravan though Looking forward to dragging the car to Spa Oh silly rubber band tyres seem to be crap for anything other than dry roads anyway - look good though lol DG
  4. Or just turn the oem one around and never leak and still vent fine - cost = 5-10mins of your life DG
  5. If you dont do this it will never seat in correctly On the octavia I fitted the older upto 2004 version 1st - DOH and that routed correctly round the car (been an estate) the newer version wanted you to go across the base of the rear folding seats which would have looked terrible! So went with the earlier loom layout and just had to extend the loom a touch for a few of the wires which was no issue and all heat wrapped and fabric taped completed you would never know The instructions are no brilliant imo and spent some time testing it prior to final insert of wires as they dont like to come back out I did look to further wire split charging but I dont need it and if I do its only the back of the car which needs doing DG
  6. I installed the full loom and extra section as I had no prep. Have to say it was a lot more work than I thought it woud be. I used a spare live I the fuse box and gave it a dedicated fuse over going through bulkhead as it was a dedicated feed from battery. I could only part code with vag.com but it worked fine, recently got skoda to do the rest during service for free I only really tow the race car but a very nice system and out of sight when not in use Car octavia estate vrs cr 2011 DG
  7. is it oem wiring / kit or a relay type setup I went for the oem setup which via recode will disable reverse sensors when you are towing along with TSP, alarm for trailer etc etc DG
  8. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/260362-various-octavia-i-vrs-parts-for-sale/ Offered as part as a job lot offer in above link DG
  9. arm rest is not leather Also rear ash tray tfsi top mounts x 2 - they did fit the oct I but would have needed modding - stiffer than the oe ones To be honest just letting stuff go for a fair price and not bothered about holding onto it all for months to get the going prices I also have the full side tinted glass for sale and sure a few smaller items If someone wants the lot and can collect this week Tinted Glass - 25% fronts 50% rears at a guess - suited the car really well Electric mirror switches including main drivers unit - black Climate control unit - worked fine when removed Amm - working when removed Airbox - with low miles filter Front grill, without badge and black suround Both fully loaded front lights with bulbs Side lights - clear electric door mirrors - silver Armrest - material New air filter - still in box Tweeters Elecric mirror switches OEM recirc Tfsi top engine mounts - low miles - sure 1 set was off the edition 30 Golf and the other new cupra R on the k04 powered engines £100 the lot and sounds like it could be sold on for more if not required if there are any other items left over you can have then also Located near Coventry
