Interesting.
A folder is missing in the latest download and one member suspected this might have something to do with files used by voice input.

Thanks Jose - I suspected that the Ross Tech VIN checker and Compatabilty Charts were possibly incomplete. They obviously don't want to stray from the published script.
BTW my car was built circa week 15/16 2014 and delivered week 19.

I would use 7-zip to unzip the file as that was used to zip the original. Its free to download. I believe that it works on Windows 8 although some users report problems with context menus.
I have found it more reliable to extract to hard disk first rather than direct to the sd card.
Personally I always turn off anti virus (especially if it has real time monitoring) and run in an account with full admin privileges.
Finally only use the Skoda sd card and make sure its formatted FAT32.
