Nav updates - struggling to 'unzip'

Featured Replies

I'm a little late to the party for the June '14 update. I've downloaded the update fine but am struggling to transfer it onto the SD card.

I've a Windows 8.1 computer and i'm trying to extract the files straight to SD card using the 8 ZIP software. How long can I expect it to take. Mine was 'extracting' for 15 minutes and was still on 0% so I gave up.

Should I extract to the hard drive first then transfer onto SD?

Should I be using a more recognised 'unzipper'?

Any experience/advice will be greatly appreciated.

I would use 7-zip to unzip the file as that was used to zip the original. Its free to download. I believe that it works on Windows 8 although some users report problems with context menus.

I have found it more reliable to extract to hard disk first rather than direct to the sd card.

Personally I always turn off anti virus (especially if it has real time monitoring) and run in an account with full admin privileges.

Finally only use the Skoda sd card and make sure its formatted FAT32.
