Would anyone know the correct torque settings for the front wheel bearing(hub) on my 07 octavia 4x4 estate,and does the wheel have to be jacked up when torqueing it? Extremely grateful, Mickey.

Thanks again,found out the problem- Cars clutch was replaced 3 weeks ago, One of the electrical plugs going to the electric pump was not clipped in properly, Honest mechanic said it was his fault,clipped plug back in,no problem with the steering now. Thanks again for your replies.

Thanks for your replys- My car is an 07 1.9 tdi (105bhp) and has no pas fluid(electric),no fuses blown and battery is nearly new(still worth getting it checked out anyway) Any other ideas would be welcome!

A red steering wheel light has appeared on my dash.It just happened as i was driving along a straight road.The steering has went very heavy at low speeds.Tried swiching off car and restarting, but same problem.Can anyone tell me what the problem may be?

Can anyone help? My wipers stopped working today.Ive checked the fuses and none of the relays smell burnt out.also made sure bonnet was closed .The rear wiper works as does the windscreen washers.Thank you,Mickey.

Hi, new to forums.I currently own an 07 Octavia estate 1.9tdi 4x4. i am hearing clicking noises coming from the passenger side of the dashboard, (around the glovebox)sounds like a relay,does anyone know what the problem is.Happens when car is turning. Thanks mjmd.
