  1. Thanks for that mate, will have a look in the morning I was fiddling around the other side of the engine so can't imagine it was caused by me knocking it. Suppose it could just be a coincidence.
  2. I replaced the rubber pipe that joins the hard plastic pipe coming from the egr to the top of the intercooler. Thought maybe I'd knocked a sensor when fiddling but can't see anything loose. Not sure what sensors are around that area for me to have moved to be honest?? Hasn't gone over 90 degrees yet which is a good thing but just a bit nervous of doing any damage on a long journey!
  3. Hi guys and gals, I've just picked up my new intercooler pipe from Skoda and fitted it. The metal lugs on the original had worn away. Took it for a quick spin up the road and all seemed well but when I parked up I noticed the temp gauge on the dashboard rising to 90 and then back down to 50 and back up again and so on. Any ideas on what could be causing this?? I've got to drive up to north wales and am seriously panicking now! Many thanks in advance.
  4. They will fit fine but when I tried them on mine they tended to tram line quite a bit more! Another big thumbs up for the Uniroyal Rainsports from me, best tyre I've used by a long way!
  5. Well I've certainly done a few **** ups in my earlier modding days and will follow craig0031 in giving a thumbs up for having the balls to try something different! It's all too easy for people to follow the herd when it comes to modding and then shoot someone down when they try something else. Fair play to you, you gave it a go, accepted it didn't turn out as you would have liked and have taken a fair bit of abuse in the process.
  6. I have to be honest and say I'm not keen on it mate. I think it's just too much silver mesh on a black Fabia, as someone said maybe black mesh would have suited it better. Failing that, have you thought of mounting the reg plate in the centre of the mesh? Might break it up a bit?
  7. Like I said Gaz, I think they look spot on with your car They are copies, Boss XL200's, still bloody light tho!!!
  8. Hi mate, I've got one on mine and I'm sure I paid closer to £150 delivered from e-bay, was a while ago tho so may have been a special offer?. TBH you can't really hear much difference from inside the car but Gaz_vrs said he hates me driving past his house coz it makes him want one too!! Any cat back system is only going to give negligable gains but I'm more than happy with mine:thumbup:
  9. £20 sounds like a good deal to me, paid £50 for mine. I sent it off to AmD to be reset, cost me £250 and then you have the choice of a generic map or custom, I went for custom, cost me another £100 including rolling road time. Well worth it!
  10. Looks like he's got the older steering wheel, same as mine. Has a shiny black leather whereas the newer ones are more of a grey matt finish. Car looks good btw:thumbup:
  11. I'm running 17's but have had Toyo T1S, T1R and PX4. The T1S were excellent but noisy, the other two weren't quite as good for grip but were much quieter. I've just put Yokohama Parada spec 2's on the front of mine and although they've only been on for a few hundred miles, early signs are that they are even better than the Toyo's!
  12. Very nice:thumbup: I wasn't sure what the eyebrows would look like but I like them!
  13. I think I will have to try the Carplan wheel cleaner. I am using Meguiar's wheel brightener and am left with loads of baked on brake dust and tar. Lovely car BTW.
  14. Sorry but I prefer the 350Z. I would still love to own an RX-8 but for me the 350Z is just awesome!
  15. Car looks awesome mate! I would love to get coilovers for mine but the roads round here are terrible! How do you find the Weitec's and can I ask how much you paid?
  16. Lovely car mate, was wondering if you know where I could get those wheel centre badges from?
  17. I have similar wheels to you and also noticed a slight vibration at about 70. I asked a mechanic in work and he said it may be because they're lightweight wheels! Sorry that doesn't solve your main problem tho!
  18. Meguiar's Gold Class for me every time, smells good too!
  19. Excellent results there!! I had my Collinite on for about the same length of time as you and must say it is incredible! The only downside was that I got bored of not using any different products after washing the car! The condition of your car is exceptional especially the front end which on mine is covered in stone chips. Not even a p.c is going to correct that!:(
  20. Heard one of the pipercross kits last week, it sounded mental!! Must admit I am tempted as my strut brace is refusing to come off making cleaning my green filter a real pain in the a**e. How much of a problem is the MAF sensor with them?
  21. Welcome to CleanWORXdetailing.co.uk HTH:thumbup:
  22. I know of a bloke in Cardiff who has had good reviews. Any good to you?
  23. How much was the Magnex de-cat? I have been thinking of getting one for a while but like you I am a bit worried about the over boosting that some people have reported.
  24. The FSD's are very good but like you, I think I would sacrifice some of the comfort for improved handling. I was told by the Koni rep at Trax that they would raise my car's ride height slightly and he was right. Here's a pic of mine with FSD's and Eibach's.
