I have no idea what is behind the grill, I thought it was just standard I am not sure if it had the Canton upgrade - it doesnt have the sub unit in the boot so i presume not? Would be nice to have the hesitation sorted but as you say chances are VAG/Skoda are probably not as interseted anymore

2014 Vrs diesel, would I be looking at a remap for some improvement do you think? The rattle definitely comes from the grill in the dash, if I tap it with my fingers it rattles (exactly the same noise). Is there a speaker behind there ?

Hi All Seem to have a couple of issues with the other halfs Octavia. At around 2k rpm it sometimes almost feels like it has a massive hiccup when driving - this happens in any gear, at any load and at random times. I did take it back to the dealer initially but of course they found nothing wrong with the diagnostics and nothing wrong on a road test. Its obvioulsy not right, it is like a sudden power off and back on kind of feeling. Also there is a loud rattle that is coming from the grill that is in the middle/top side of the dash - does anyone know if this is removable at all? Didnt want to start attacking it and wreck it. I didnt get a letter for mine - 09 Ltd Ed, but had a service last Saturday. Turned up to drop the car off and was advised there was a recall on the car for the ABS module update. Told the guy I had not been notified of it etc, he had no idea what to say really. They apply the update, take it for a test drive and if the ABS light comes up it requires a replacement module - which would mean leaving the car there. He also mentioned that they couldnt really let me take the car away without doing the update - thanks for letting me know before hand then

The squeaking noise is coming from the blower motor, any one have a rough guide on price? Do I take a risk on a second hand one or just buy new Thanks

£5,500 ONO! Car needs a new home

I have looked around at similar models for sale and have tried to price to reflect that damage, but that is my worry as to what is stopping this car from selling. I have had a quote for about £250 to have it fixed, thats why I'm open to offers on the price

Recently I have noticed a squeaky/squealing noise coming from inside the car to the left - glove box area. I have looked at the various threads on here about loosening/tightening various screws and adding some washers etc but the noise only seems to happen when I have the blowers on and when I am on the move? I havent been able to fully locate where its coming from as yet but thought I would see if anyone has had a similar problem? Secondly I am wanting to change the number plate bulbs for LED bulbs (again I know this has been covered numerous times) but I am slightly confused - I have the LE Ocatvia so it an 09 plate pre FL shape with FL internals (I think thats right) . When searching eBay for example I get 2 options - LED bulbs that are supposedly error free and some which have the resistor wired in as a kit. Which ones should I be looking at?

The car needs nothing at all really, drives spot on with no problems wat so ever. I dont feel as though I have priced it too high considering the spec and mileage?
