This forum has been absolutely invaluable since I bought my VRS and I'd like to thank everyone for helping me. I think I've experienced every common problem in the last 4 months and have solved every single one from here - saving me lots of time and money. 1. Engine management light - solved by changing the brake switch 2. Dampness in rear foot well - sealed doors 3. Windscreen wipers stopped working - blown fuse 4. Steering warning light - solved by changing battery (was a bit sceptical about that one) 5. Reset one-touch windows 6. Rear washer not working - blown connection in the rear of the engine bay How much would have all that cost me at a main dealers? What did we do before forums! Owning a VRS is definitely a hobby though. I've got leaking turbo pipes now. M.

Cheers buddy that is possibly good news. Which sticky are you talking about BTW? I can't see one mentioning battery/earth lead?

Having just got my '03 Fabia VRS I'm looking at the owners manual and trying to work out if the large panel in the centre of the dash is supposed to display information such as trip computer, car status etc as shown on page 22 or does it just for warning lights as shown on page 27? The manual covers the whole Fabia range I would imagine but it doesn't seem to specify which style the VRS has. I can't remember seeing anything in that centre panel so far. Mark

mmm...No warning light the next day (Tuesday) and no warning light today either. However quick trip out tonight - warning light on the way there, nothing on the way back. Steering feels fine. Is this typical of the sensor breaking down?

Thanks, thats made me feel a bit happier. It was only after the light came on and I started analysing it that I thought it felt a bit notchy. Having only had the car for 3 days though it was difficult to be sure though.

Hi everyone, Been lurking for a while but am now a very happy owner of a Fabia VRS. I can't believe I haven't owned one of these before - absolutely perfect for me. Anyway on the way home tonight the power steering warning light came on. Having a quick trawl through the site seems to point at a faulty steering sensor. I'll phone the dealer tomorrow and hopefully it will be under warranty. What I'm worried about though is it still ok to drive to the dealers? 25+ miles? Thanks in advance
