  1. stock PD150 turbo shouldn't be pushed past 1.7bar and if you have ran it on a mapped KKK map it will have oversped the turbo and likely damaged it
  2. Kris @ http://www.dieselpowered.co.uk/ there is no one that can even get close to the knowledge this guy has best in the business by far
  3. biggest laugh this year tbh and that dyno run the MacD's chav crew will be loving this and queuing to buy his turbo kits by the dozen Shame Narco doesn't use his own Base Maps !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so so so glad i've sold my Fabia now and glad i held out for price it is actually worth
  4. just fit the engine and don't touch the ecu, key or anything it will just fireup fine then get your car remapped
  5. Right update on where the car stands with its current Spec and Price The car is a 2006 Fabia VRS finished in black magic. 118,000 miles MOT January 2017 Full service history using Genuine Parts Cam belt & water pump changed at 95530 miles on 09/11/2013 Superb condition inside and out for an 10yr old car. All work during previous ownership has been carried out by GI Motorsport in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire (totalling over 12k). There are a couple of little marks on the body here and there but nothing untoward for a car of this age. It has 2 sets of keys all original paperwork and PDI report a folder full of receipts Just had oil & filter service, rear brake pads and calipers stripped/cleaned and re-assembled No tyre kickers, no time wasters, no swaps £5000 or (£4500 without race nozzles and Depo Headlight)
  6. as per my PM H&R do the proper spacers http://www.awesomegti.com/brand/h-r-suspension/h-r-wheel-spacers-vw-golf-mk4 H&R 162555716 i ran 35mm wheel bolts
  7. we know now the limits of stock nozzles you can take SOI to 28 and EOI to 10-13deg safely but this is still a lot of duration & will have some level of smoke its like the difference between no smoke and smoke the same car feels much quicker with smoke (added fuel in correct part of the map)
  8. true yes but i was speaking relatively as a known given that stock nozzles on what ever bigger turbo setup are at there limit at 230-240bhp yes you can do do 260bhp but daft duration so not safe back the durations and boost back and you will get to around the 230-240bhp level (using a 2260 as example)
  9. this was JabbaSport but i believe they run Water/meth injection to compensate for the shortfall of the stock injectors
  10. fuk the SOI on that 2nd graph is dangerous and must have smoked its absolute **** off but compensation is given as EOI is very low 28 should be the limit and 30+ if you don't mind pushing it and no fussed about engine maybe letting go
  11. I wouldn't say miles has got anything to do with it my Fabia been fine for 15,000 miles and on 118,000 and been modified before i got it with a hybrid for 4 years It mapping/high duration and too much boost!!!!!!! Thread title should read "don't run a 2260 on stock nozzles and chase bhp" sorry that might sound smug but i've waiting for all these engine on stock nozzles to blow up as i knew it would happen sooner or later!!!!! Maybe now people realise that race nozzle are fitted for a reason and 230-240bhp is absolute max bhp you can rinse outta stock injectors if you want reliability I was one of 1st on here with engine failure (polo GT) and i did do the daft durations on stock injectors (Fabia), but very quickly did a U-turn and fitted the nozzles and then remapped from Kris@ http://www.dieselpowered.co.uk/ as they was simply no one else with as much mapping and dyno time as him in this country when it comes to GTB2260 on race nozzles!
  12. Exact same damage as mine, but my polo went running nozzles abet I was running 2.6bar or trying too anyhow There is a sweet spot of maximum boost pressure on the 2260 and making sure you don't try fed too much boost in too soon like I said use fuel to make the turbo spool to avoid compressor surge! Generally gutted for you guys losing engine but I hope now you will be buying race nozzles and avoid this engine failure It would be nice for you guys to stick with stock engine as I guarantee you will be surprised how much quicker they are with nozzles and mapped accordingly
  13. Just look at the posts 85% are muppets that own them now cause they are cheapest they have even been The idiots I've dealt with selling parts and they want everything for nowt and most can't scrape together 2p That's when you know it's time to ship out and sell up In couple of yrs only the good spec cars will be left but fuk waiting that long to sell up!
  14. hummmmmmmmmmmmm As i said it last year and have said to everyone thousand times over!!!!! there is a maximum safe limit for stock injectors for a reason, some car have lasted some haven't anyone running more than 35deg of duration is running a risk of engine failure thats why the older tuners out there say 230-240bhp stock injectors as absolutely max (they know this info for a reason) i'll hold my hands up and ran my 2260 on the Fabia on stock nozzles at silly silly durations because i asked Faboka to push it as i wanted to see what the limits where After a very short period of time i refitted my race nozzles and had the car remapped elsewhere (This was no disrespect to Faboka i wanted to try http://www.dieselpowered.co.uk/ as this is who my mate Steven had his mapped by (the lad with the Red Golf at the RR day)) and i've done 14,000miles running 2.45bar and the car is 100% reliable, doesn't use any oil and has no running or cold start issues The stock engine can take the power no issues its all about the mapping and setup and in essence every tuner out there has there own method of tuning if you want good power and drivability you need fuel to spool the 2260 on a 1.9 so will get smoke its just something you have to live with all these claims of 280bhp+ on 2260 and race nozzles on stock engine is another story that makes for good reading Anyhow i'm getting out of the game now and selling up i've done the modified 1.9PD thing for 3yrs now and tbh i hate the Image that the Fabia VRS now has and the idiots that now drive them (they have become the cheap mans corsa spinning round MacDonalds)
  15. just get the cylinder head whipped off and look at which piston has gone you need a diesel compression tester too
  16. Hi thanks sorry don't need a P/X already have my new car
  17. it all depends on if it sells with the 2260 setup if not i will put the car back to completely stock
  18. i have both rear calipers yes
  19. 1.7bar you could push harder but no ideal on a stock turbo
  20. To push oil through the breather and catch tank u have to have massive crankcase pressure, this will explain why the tip is full and the boost hoses, why the air filter has sucked in I don't know is it upto the job or causing a restriction as the turbo comes on boost? Hope u get resolved quickly if ya stuck for parts let me know have 2x ASZ motors in my lockup
  21. Alex I'd also suggest wipping rocker cover off and make sure the injector followers are all still within spec, as if one if these is damaged u get a misfire, it's worth a look but I suspect something more serious tbh going from my past experience it's near exactly like my polo Yep u will need a diesel compression checker not something u get down halfords I'm afraid
  22. 100% no play on the shaft even new gearboxes have a slight amount of movement Exact same setup I have and same symptoms and the shim mod fixed mine
  23. How does the engine run? Lumpy or as if it's missing? I would advise you get a diesel compression tester and test each cylinder I had very similar issue with my Polo GT turned out I put a hole in the piston and it blew all the oil out of the breather and oil filler cap due to crank case pressure, and all over the engine bay somehow
  24. If I remove them yes Gearbox and diff will stay in the car not going to those lengths to remove that
  25. Right updated one last chance to sell the car complete (if not sold by end of January it will be getting stripped back to stock) Spec and Price Options as below: The car is a 2006 Fabia VRS finished in black magic. 118,000 miles MOT January 2017 Full service history using Genuine Parts Cam belt & water pump changed at 95530 miles on 09/11/2013 Superb condition inside and out for an 10yr old car.
