    when you did the console bushes you will have removed the front arm bolts that go into the alloy console i'd have a good guess these haven't been done up tight enough or the threads have stripped this will cause exactly the issue you describing 
     
    my advice is jack each side up of the car until each front wheel is off the ground make sure you steering lock is applied and grab each wheel in the 9 & 3 o'clock position and pull back and forth
    get someone to look at the front arm where the bolts goes through and i guess this will be moving (the outta metal subframe must grab the bush to keep it from moving)
     
    if the bolts have stripped the threads from the console you can get away with fitting longer bolts to grab the last remaining threads
     
    give the above a try and let us know how you get on
