Hi,does anyone out there know for sure if the glasses holder can be fitted in a Spaceback with the glass roof ? My dealear says not but the blanking cover is in there and I cant for the life of me see why it wouldnt fit, so come on Boys one of you will have a definate answer Im sure Tony :wonder:

The boot hooks look as if you can retro fit on the Spaceback as there is a screwed in blanking plate where the hooks fit, its just a matter of obtaining some .

Well its not just me then! I do have the glass roof but this shouldnt be an issue as the blanking piece is were the glasses holder should be, and mine also is missing bag hooks and rear dividers, the bag hooks are a big miss , the other half keeps moaning the shopping keeps falling over ! think I will have to get some bag hooks from Skoda to keep her quiet and I really miss the glasses holder as I wear glasses and keep a spare pair in the car ,so I think its badger the dealer time !!lol

Hi, anyone out there with a Spaceback se or elegance spec ?, if so has your car got the sun glasses holder ? cause my Elegance aint and according to the spec se and elegance should have ! Waiting for answer from my dealer, just wondered if all Spacebacks are missing this or is it just mine ! :wonder:

Regarding legroom in the Rapid [which my son owns] unless you are carrying a giraffe there is oodles of room front and rear, the same goes for the Rapid Spaceback [which I own] but the boot on the saloon is quite a lot bigger so the dog may prefer that version depending how big he is. Dont think you would be disapointed with either version as they are both great cars Good luck , maybe the dog should go on the test drive; he would be Barking Mad not to !!

Oh and im also keeping an eye on those Camelot wheels cause the seller lives 5 minutes away from me but we cant get him to reply to our emails, despite wanting to make a good cash offer !

must say I have to agree withVRSbilly and his comment about the Rapid being a nicer car than the Fabia Estate, I swoped my 12 month old Fabia elegance estate for my Spaceback and despite only picking up the car Saturday Im allready well chuffed with it and cant believe how quite it is compared to the Fabia and how strong the motor feels even at running in pace Loving it !

Hello to all fellow Skoda owners in the West Midlands,, Faintree Garage Telford are First Class, on my third Skoda from them and have always received great service from them and with my new car picked up yesterday they really went the extra mile [see my post in Rapid Forum under My New Spaceback] So it may be not as close as my local dealers but I would rather drive to Telfod and know I will be well looked after as will my car !

Hi, I picked up my new Spaceback Elegance 1.2 tsi 105 yesterday, Love it ! still working out sat nav, dab radio and telephone controls though, collected the car from Faintree Telford and I must say what a great bunch of guys and girls they are. Due to a glich in the order it came with 16 inch wheels instead of 17s and I had ordered a set of 17 inch ray wheels to use for summer, keeping the originals for winter tyres when the mistake was spotted Penny called to explain saying they would sort something out for me,the next day I was contacted by Paul Wedgbury himself and given an apology and explanation of what the would do to rectify the situation,and Boy did I get a shock !. Not only did he promise fit me a set of tyres to the Ray wheels he then said he would also supply and fit winter tyres to the 16 inch wheels at no cost to me !! Top Man, Top Dealership' I am over the moon with the car and the service both me and my son [who has a Rapid Sport] have enjoyed , and to top it all off on collecting the car the Wife was given a large bunch of flowers and I was given a nice bottle of wine,, Happy Days. So Many Thanks to Paul ,Penny, Colin, Joe and everyone else at Faintree for a great outcome to what could have ended very differently at some other garages I have dealt with.

Hi to all fellow bikers out there, I wont try to list all the bikes I have owned over the years cause Ive been riding over 50 years! and the list is massive, currently running a1967 Bonneville a 1965 Sports Cub a 2012 650 V Strom and a VanVan and still love riding as much as when I started at13 over the local banks on an old James 197 cc, I just wish I had some of the bikes Ive owned down the years some of which are now worth Thousands of £s, still hindsight is a wonderfull thing.

Rapid Ronnie, I know the Rays are genuine Skoda parts but I want the all gloss black Savio genuine Skoda wheels as shown in accessories options but Skoda uk keep telling me they aint available so its pretty pointless to advertise a part they cant or wont supply.

So a Skoda is a Skoda is a Skoda, much the same as Chris Evans is Chris Evans, a bit of a Knob if you ask me !! Why get someone who is never going to buy a particular type of car to test drive it?,may as well ask a vegan to review a steakhouse !!

yep I agree ,its a bit naughty but a lot of dealers are doing it, [ incuding my dealer, Faintree ] but they aint the wheels I want, I dont want to fit other than Genuine cause of warranty issues but Skoda aint giving me the option,so Ive just got to wait as Skoda say the only other wheel option available is the Gigaro , they would fit the bill but are only in matt black not gloss! so it seems I cant win

VRSbilly, the rays are not a factory fit option , only a dealer fitted bling option on showroom cars

Yeh Guys I know Rays are available but they have issues with the finish, my son has these on his Rapid and they look the Dogs, but are allready showing signs of "milkyness" and as I dont spend as much time cleaning as he does I would rather have all black with no diamond cut! anyone out there with inside info on future availability of the Savio alloys ? cant wait for ever as I intend to use the Camelots for winter tyres and the black ones for summer use, so Im hoping Skoda get their finger out and release them in the UK by wintertime. If not the Rays will have to do and at first sign of trouble a quick trip to the powder coaters for a nice black metalic !!

waiting on delivery of Spaceback Elegance in white 1.2 tsi 105 with style pack, satnav and 17 inch Camelots Picking it up next Saturday hopefully! its stuck in Grimsby at the minute and Easter Hols mucking up deliveries so fingers crossed. I did want a set of Gloss Black Savio wheels as per accessory options but apparently these are not yet available! fat lot of use to me then ; why show this stuff if you cant buy it ? so for now I will have to put up with Silver alloys till Skoda allow us poor relations in the UK to purchase the stuff they keep advertising buy wont let us buy!

Hi, anyone out there know of any dealers with Black Savio wheels in stock as my local dealer says they are not available despite them being in the Skoda brochure for the Rapid Spaceback

I run a Fabia 1.6 with cruse control as standard and there is a light on the dash to show when its on so I would be suprised if there was a different dash panel for cars not fitted with it as standard

I really dont think the car is the one doing the ignoring ! with anti stall you really have to be in the right gear to avoid the feeling of the car running away with you I dont have any problems with my Fabia as long as I change down at the correct time and as for the car having to be held back on the brake, mine will tootle along at walking pace in bottom gear without any problems. What rpm is the idle set at ? mine ticks over at 750 rpm and the anti stall is no problem to me

Hi Mark, thecruise control mode feeling you describe is the anti stall device doing what it should, what you need to do is trust the gear indicator and change down a gear. This is most notable when aproaching a traffic island, when if you try to take the island without going to a lower gear the car feels as if it has a mind of its own and just runs on. It is something you have to get used to with a modern diesel, so fear not theres nowt wrong with your car Its just doing its job Best Wishes Toon

I was looking at your wheels for my sons new Rapid to use with winter tyres but son being somewhat more fusy than my self says he cant possibly have white wheels on a white car ! so it looks like a bargain for someone else. never mind its a pity you didnt have them gunmetal or black he would have had them but the cost to have them recoated is not economical.
