  1. Thank you rwbaldwin I will check the folder / file names and change them if required and see if that makes a difference. Ta Ewan
  2. Now first a wee apology guys. I suppose technically the issue I have does not directly relate to Skodas - but please bear with me as I explain. I have fitted an aftermarket JVC - R412 head unit to my Skoda vRS and I'm really happy with the sound quality it produces (speakers in the car are alot better than I first imagined) - HOWEVER there is a small niggling problem that seems to keep surfacing. When I use the USB input the stereo seems to 'lose' certain folders ! I copy music onto the USB stick the same way each time, and if I put 12 albums on it (and check they're all there) - the 'reading' of this disk will only allow me to access maybees 10 of them, saying that the other two have 'no file'. When I take the USB stick back to a computer, the albums names are still visible, but all the music files have disappeared ?? Really stumped on this one ! Has anyone else experienced similar problems? (Not necessarily with the same head unit) Thanks Ewan
  3. Thank you Yohan Do you mean the 'red and yellow' cables that are present on the 'plug' that goes directly into the head unit? Thanks Ewan
  4. Hello folks I'm hoping that someone here will be able to help me with this small, but annoying problem with my JVC KD - R411 head unit. I have a Fabia vRS (registered March 2007) and removed the factory fitted Symphony CD radio recently to fit the head unit above. I got a wiring harness with the head unit and had to use it to install the stereo. The stereo settings are 'lost' each time the ignition is switched off, although the radio stations that I saved remain? It is my preferred settings that keep being reset i.e. the clock, fader / bass / balance, and dimmer settings. I have tried the reset button on the unit but that seems to have no affect. I take it the problem stems from something to do with the wiring / wiring harness. I would welcome some advice however on how to tackle the problem. Cheers Ewan
