hi guys have any of you swapped your sidelight bulbs for LED?

mine were also slashed on the inside had about 2.5mm of tread left

i would suggest opening up the key your brother gave to the garage to see if the immobiliser chip is still inside. If the garage that serviced the car did do something dishonest like sellotape the transponder to the ignition barrel all they would need to start the car is key which had been cut, which any cutting place can do in 5 mins.

will these work with the fabia mk2?

Not good at all - this seams like such a widespread problem affecting many owners yet VAG still use/sell these engines, i would of thought they would have fixed the issue by now.

Hi all, My name is Manoj from NW London, i have bought a 1.6tdi Fabia Monte Carlo my previous car was a Seat Ibiza Sportrider 1.9tdi. Unsure atm which engine i prefer, the 1.9tdi definently gave more of a punch and certainly felt more powerful yet the 1.6 is quiter and feels more refined. Time will tell which i prefer as i have only done about 200 miles in the Monte. some pictures - old was a great car had- Cruise control, powerfold mirrors and climate control (defo miss powerfold mirrors and cruise control) New - plan to have cruise control fitted, under seat storage boxes & OE armrest Hi and Hope you like
