Ok cheers guys I've got the bailey on at the moment but if its going to cause any damage I will swap it and buy a rcdv asap.

Is there any particular model of dv that will give off a loud whoosh or dump. Chavvy I know but why else would ya have a turbo lol.

Hi all, in the never ending journey to finding the source of my octys problem I've been advised to look into replacing the n75 valve. I see there are 3 types n75. N75h and n75j. Can anyone please tell me what the differences are and which one do I need if I need one at all many thanks.

Is it better to have a re-curc as the 2 I have require the blanking plug. Cheers james.

Well its been a few days since I've had chance to do anything my new cts from skoda is ready to put in and just for good measure I'm ordering a new n75. I've been given 2 dumpvalves from a good friend who had them lying around his unit a smallish baileys one and a bit bigger no-named one so I will replace the standard one with one of these and with a bit of look will get rid of this problem once and for all.

Sorry pauldazzle I wasn't being ignorant I don't know of any good vag ppl where I live I have had it to 1 independant garage but he didn't know much too, yes the cts is a gen part my mate has a tool for boost leak testing so next thu he will do that for me and go from there baisicly I do appreceate all the help and advice I'm receiving

Well been back to skoda today they ran a free diagagnostics again but they seem to think a leaky boost pipe or intake pipe so ebay for some samco's I think and hope and pray this will fettle the old girl.

No forgot bwt that one, basicly its worse when the engines cold but when it heats up its not as bad but if you keep your foot down after it splutters and backfires etc it picks back up and regains speed or if you take your foot off the throttle and ease back on its ok ?

So after replacing 4 coilpacks,de-catting ,fitting a boxless centre exhaust,new afm,fully servicing the car cleaning the throttle body and running it through 3 computers I'm still no further forward to finding my flat spot problems. Now admitedly it is loads better but it still happening so I'm still not happy and I'm still stumped :(

Yep think I found it right hand side on engine below engine cover on rad hose its green so that's ok , new tb gasket ordered for tomorrow so that will be getting done next
