  1. That's how i drive mine........I haven't found a corner i have had to brake for yet!!! Amazing little car love it to bits. Mrs just holds on and hopes for the best.(no comments needed)
  2. I noticed a constant rattle coming from what seems to be the speedometer yesterday.
  3. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=151088835808&ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:GB:3160
  4. Mine did it for about 6 months last year in exactly the same place each day on way home from work told dealer at service but no fault found. Has not done it for ages(touch wood)
  5. I am thinking of doing the same, quick question did you get a decent deal when you traded your Blackline in? mines 15 months old and 15000 miles now.
  6. The lower the tyre pressure the greater the rolling resistance, just try pushing a car with low tyre pressures.
  7. Check your tyre pressures they set mine too low and i lost about 5 mpg, I set mine to 33 psi all round and get 50 mpg average on my 50 mile round trip mostly motorway. Lee
  8. If you continue with that wear rate you wont be far off 12000 miles by the legal limit. 7-8 mm on a new tyre 7000 wearing 3/4mm off so another 5000 for another 3/4mm sorted. mine have worn out just at the right time as the weather is getting worse would not fancy driving in heavy rain and snow with only a few mm left though. Lee
  9. I have done 12000 on the original tyres mostly motorway on my blackline and are on 2mm.
  10. Thanks for all your replies think i will see if i can get a test drive over a few days and give it a try back and for to work. At least it will help make my mind up.
  11. You are both right of course, but was just thinking what a waste a car sitting here in traffic..... with just me in it.
  12. I am currently spending all my time in traffic on the motorway doing 50 mph 26 miles each way. I was thinking i could do this in a citigo and save myself £220 a month pcp and someone could get some use out of my wasted VRS Blackline.I have done 12000 miles this year. What are peoples thoughts am i crazy?
  13. Thanks for all your replies, Had it in manual mode this morning on the way to work and it does it at the same speed either in 5th or 6th gear its at around 1400-1500 rpm. Might go to the dealer and see if a software update is available.
  14. Mine does it even on the flat now,it also feels under powered for a few seconds afterwards,i did search but no-one seems to know the answer.its certainly getting worse, might get it booked in but we all know it will be no fault found!! It does it in both gears.
  15. Hi All I have had my Blackline since September and its been a great car,but over the last 2 months or so i have started getting what was a slight hesitation on very light throttle going down a slight gradient but only while warming up (about 10 mins into journey) this has now progressed to doing it on most days even on the flat if you hold the throttle steady at say 35 mph the car will jerk back and for until you apply more throttle. Any thoughts or anyone else have the same problem. Thanks Lee
  16. You shut the tailgate !! or dropped SWMBO off on the way (less talking and weight) better economy and quieter...... Lee
  17. You have finally changed to proper fuel(petrol) instead of tractor juice(deisel) Lee
  18. mine has what i thought were stone chips on it, perhaps its corrosion , just thought it was 7000 miles of motorway driving? Lee
  19. I have been thinking of a remap for a month or so, but have been put off by warranty issues as the car is only 7 months old. this seems like the perfect solution. my concern is the negitive views that people have about " Tuning Boxes " It will be interesting to see what the overall driving experience is and mpg over time. The general feed back from a quality remap is that mpg stays the same or even improves. this is what i would want better driving experience when needed and better mpg when diving normally to work ect. Then if any warranty work or servicing is needed it can be removed. Lee
  20. The amount of money that must go into the development of tyres, and the differing types of tyres available means that to say that tyres are manufactured to have the same grip is ridiculous. This from people we trust to advise on tyres. i don't think so.
  21. So No Moaning, But sarcasm is allowed then? Sounds good to me !!
