Ordered mine today - race blue, manual diesel, black pack, canton, cruise and red stitching on the seats. Thinking off modding and adding the winter pack - dealer said I have a week to modify my order. Looking around end of Oct?

How pants is that not to have them as an option to start with???

I'd prob bob over as our lass's parents live up the road so its an excuse to get out if I'm not working!

When I went to Keith's at Huddersfield it was early eve/tea time and had gone home with one of the salesmen. Currently on Holiday at the mo but wanna get down there to have a gander when back.

Considering SUK seem to get a bit of a berating for the way they mess things up - why doesn't it change? Surely the standard marque that comes from CZ should be standard here too? Otherwise it just shows how they are ripping off potential owners?

That's why I chose the DSG over manual. Did like the VRS I test drove and listened to what you and ChrisRS said at the Malthouse meet all that time ago! It's just long term not ignited inside for me. Still prefer manuals. Had a drive of my old Fabia the other week and it just made me miss it! Perhaps I'm just an oddball! Haha! Liking the discussion though!

Oh it's not staying! Love the car but like the new octy better. Diesel VRS with a manual box and if I like it keep it after the 3 years!

Ill have a play with the box, do have a dabble with the paddles every now and again and do find the box responsive and like it but for normal driving I just find it mundane. There is a remedy for it! Manual next time and wait until I am in my 40's for an auto lol! After speaking to the head of the dealership who also drives one he stated that the dual clutch was a bit of an overkill on any engine less that 300bhp? I claim ignorance as my technical experience of gearboxes are standard torque converter types and manual boxes fitted to old buses so couldn't quite get to grips with the principle of DSG at first. Obviously the dealer statements came after purchase

It annoys the guff out of me when going down hill. I wouldn't do it in a manual! Don't get me wrong I like the box when it's mega under load and your giving it some stick and its only 'minor niggles'. Does yours do the clicking when setting off on tickover? Should I be worried?

Anyone else find the DSG box 'niggley' on their VRS? Mine annoys the hell out of me, clunking ever so slightly, overevving going downhill and a hesitation between 3/4 that feels like fuel starvation?! Or is it just me? Iv done 9000 miles in my Blackline now and yearn for a manual again?! HELP! hah!

Will do chap! They are awesome seats! I fitted them back end of last year! So much better than the grey! P.s if its about selling seats seperate I'd think it would be a no go as there aren't any to go back in! I was going to have the car back myself on Friday but the lack of funds for extra insurance put a stop to this idea! I proper like my Blackline but damn well miss the Fabia too :(

It's an eBay link but worth making people aware of! 2004 Skoda Fabia VRS 128k on the clock, fitted with Mark 2 Fab VRS seats. Can vouch for this car as it used to be my old fab before I got the Octavia. The Mk2 seats make this a spot on car! Engine was always strong. All work carried out by a VAG qualified man (apart from the turbo charge pipes which I did) got new mot and I had Cambelt and water pump done. Anyway enough spiel, it's now my brother in laws, drove the car last Monday and still drives sweet with plenty of pull! http://bit.ly/13h4UtI

I went for the DSG and feel a slight stutter around 3rd to 4th and mine has only 8k on it and 8 months old! Think it may be worth heading to the dealer after reading this thread! Cheers!
