Any closer to a solution?

I too have cloth/alacantra and agree with the above. Get fairly warm within minutes and have to turn down to 2 or 1 as 3 is a little too much on a lengthy drive.

Be interested to know what the outcome is. I have a vRS estate, took delivery in January..... I have a noise that kicks in around the 75-80mph. It's fairly high pitched, seems to come from left/centre of the area described by the OP. The only thing I can liken it to is a marble being spun around in the bottom of a glass, if that makes sense to anyone. Drop below 75mph this and it's gone, instantly. I also have a rattle in the roof linning that stops if you push lightly up on the roof lining near the sunglasses holder, I'm assuming this one should be an easy fix compared to the above... need to get it back to the dealer.

Been on hols for a few weeks and returned today to be told car is ready to collect - whoop whoop!!

Whilst impatiently waiting delivery..... do the interfaces connectors come with this factory fitted option? Else, is the bay the best source for them? Cheers

If you do this, do you get the full functionality of the MFSW, i.e. radio, maxi dot and what's needed for Bluetooth phone control? Also can I ask how much it's costing?

News from the dealer is that my order has now been changed to include the all black alacantra upholstery and build week brought forward to 51

I've asked to have the new black/red stitched upholstery added to my order, due to be built in Jan. Getting no psitive response from dealer yet :(

To those that have amended their order to include the new alacantra upholstery option - do you know how the dealer accomplished this? My dealer's been trying for a week to change and add via their system, but is unable to. They've now contacted Skoda directly and are waiting for a response. I've built up my hopes for the all black option now, am I likley to be told no? Build date is currently week 1 2012

I've asked for this upholstery now as well. Hopefully the dealer wont mind changing the order now that all the paperwork has been done. Build date is miles away, wk 1 2012.

I say TSFI, then somebody says no it'll be a TSI. Now I'm back to a TFSI - which is it people?! :wonder: :p

Xenons are now added to the spec! Provisional build date of week 1 (2012). What am I then looking at for delivery?? I'll ask the dealer tomorrow, but I'm impatient, which isn't going to help the next 3 months pass! :p

Hope so now that I've decided to ask for them, the chap said he was 99% certain there would be no problem and they only sent the order through this morning.

I'm heading in to finalise paperwork etc on Friday and will get a lead time then. Though I did phone them today and ask for xenons to be added, they're trying to work out how to do it as the order had already gone - we'll see what happens. Buying from Farmers, Notts.

Was told it could be 3 months, will hopefully get a proper eta tomorrow, as only paid the deposit at 5pm on Friday.

TFSI / TSI whats's the difference can I ask? Can ignore that now just done some searching and assume it's a positive change... Thanks for the pic link!

Would have liked but pushed the budget to the limit and couldn't convince the other half for any more :p

Hi, First post and all that. Just paid the deposit on a new vRS Estate TFSI in anthracite, with options: rear parking sensors, heated seats, maxi dot, MDI, sunset glass and a spare wheel! May buy a Columbus unit from the bay, but in the meantime I now have the long wait for delivery. Firstly have I made any bloopers? Secondly, does anyone know of a decent highish resolution pic I can download and print of an anthracite vRS estate. The OH wants to make a 'count down to delivery' calendar to stick on the wall! Cheers
