This is what I'm talking about: These pictures are with original wheels and tires. 195/65-15 have a 21.8mm bigger radius, which is just enough for the tire to touch this bit of plastic when the wheel moves upwards. This only occurs on the left side, on the right it's ok:

DevilsOwn water injection kit - power/torque increase
UWO replied to UWO's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
I'm asking this because my car is already remapped and would like to know what should I expect wit the kit alone, without another remap, which costs twice as much as the WI -
That' strange. When was you car made? Mine is January 2006. Are you sure you have 195/65-15 tires on it? The problem I encountered was the bigger radius of the tyre (7.4%), not the width/offset. I'll post a picture...

I'm thinking about buying this kit and I was wondering what power/torque increase is expected with the DevilsOwn water injection kit (stage 2) installed on a Fabia vRS: 1) standard car, no remap 2) standard car remapped before the installation of the kit, no remap afterwards 3) standard car remapped after the installation of the kit 4) What about modified cars, has anyone measured power/torque before and after the installation of the kit on their car?

Fabia vRS retrofit cruise control - impossible?
UWO replied to UWO's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Thanks for the replies:thumbup: Where is this ''Boardnetz ECU'' located, does it say on it what version it is? -
Interesting, when I put the 195 55 16 wheels on my vRS, the back left wheel rubbed (on standard suspension... I assume yours don't rub?
-
I was told at the dealers that it is impossible to install a cruise control in my car, because supposedly it doesn't have the installation for it. They said that they've installed it on other non-vRS Fabias, but that this one is different. The car is a January 2006 vRS with the BLT engine. Is this possible?

Where exactly is this gearbox mount and how do I get to it to grease it?

Can I trust my trip computer? (Fabia vRS)
UWO replied to Race Blue vRS's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
No2 in my experience never resets itself... -
Those are the old ones, I have an 06 and it has different rear lights.

My trip computer is out by exactly 10%. -
What tyre pressures do you run your vrs on?
UWO replied to Confused_Cheese's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
I think it would be better to add what tyres you're on. I run mine on: Pirelli P Zero Nero 205/45 ZR 16 - front 2.5bar (36.3psi), rear 2.4bar (34.8) -
30mm Kw Kit, A cheap alternative to eibachs and fsd's
UWO replied to skudmissile's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Has anyone driven both the KW and koni/eibach equipped cars and can compare them? -
Had LED's for about 3 moths now. At first they worked fine, then they occasionally didn't work (one at a time), and a few days ago they both stopped working. Must have a look at what's wrong.

I spoke to a Seat mechanic and he said that they never use any grease when replacing these bushes:confused: Is it necessary to use it?

noise at 20mph and another at 80mph + steering question
UWO replied to iamrcb's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Do you actually feel more of what's going on under the wheels? -
I think it looks awesome:thumbup:

46k kms (remapped at 30k) turbo still works.

Fabia-vrs.com - Park Distance Control RetroFit Guide Hope that helps:)

Why did you use powerflex front wishbone front bush? Are they better than the Škoda ones?
-
I agree completly:D I have it on the stiffest setting and wouldn't want to it to be less stiff:D
-
25nm minus 225 degrees sounds a little strange to me too. 18Nm sounds much better to me, but I'm no specialist:)
-
Why not standard bushes instead the powerflex ones? Are these better?

I have a feeling that my Fabia RS in electronically restricted (limited) in 6th gear to obout 4300rpm. Could that be true? Because before the remap the top speed was exactly the same as now (160bhp), and now it has the same top speed (according to speedo) if I drive downhill than if I drive uphill:confused:
