Thanks for the reply, but I'm not looking at changing the wheels, I understand that higher profile tyres and steel wheels will be much stronger, but they'll also generally look awful, even with trims! I was just checking on my options, hopefully it will be OK as it is, but I'm going to see if I can get it checked over.

They're 225/45/17, just standard wheels and tyres that came with the car. I'm going to try and have a look at the inside of the rim opposite the weights tomorrow in the daylight, see if there's any noticeable damage. 👍

Car passed its MOT this morning with flying colours, save for the one advisory, is this something I should be worried about? They said it was fine, but just noticed it whilst they had it up in the air turning the wheels. Car drives fine, probably a bloody pothole at some point in time! 🤬🤣

Fitted a black grill surround, wind deflectors, and rear bumper protector for the dog, new blue badges and spoiler extensions just arrived from Aliexpress, will get those fitted in due course. 👍 Not 100% sold on the spoiler extensions, think a bluetac test fit is the way forward! 🤣 10mb upload limit due to me being a tightwad! 😅

Been trying to remove the silver front grill surround to fit a new black one, but can't get it to budge! 🤬 All the info I can find says you just need to use a long flat head screwdriver to push the tabs out either side, but they don't release when I try, any suggestions please? Trying my best not to damage anything...

My car has black trim around the windows, I'll do a trial fit, and if they look naff, it's only a few quid lost.

For the price, I've ordered a set, and if they look rubbish, they can go in the bin with nothing lost! 👍

Ha ha, so it is, I used to have a Mk1 VRS estate and a Mk2 VRS estate, must have forgotten to change it.

Mine's just a 1.4tsi SE Sport, not a VRS, so I guess they might fit?

My Cupra ST had 2 side spoiler extensions that ran from the top boot spoiler down either side of the glass, and I loved the fact that it made the car stand out from all of the other variants.
