  1. Welcome. Where in Cornwall are you?
  2. We feed the Border miracle grow. Shocking results! Have you seen images of 'Mexican Lion Dog' on web in recent weeks! Fantastic! We also had a 320d Touring, Octavia boots seems huge in comparison.
  3. Hi, Not have mine long, had my injectors done just before Christmas and have had DPF issues since. Car went into 'limp mode' last weekend. Cost me £180 to have a forced regeneration. My issue has alot to do with how i drive the car ie i am in London and do lots of shorter journeys. DPF is spoiling an excellent car.
  4. Little and large! Weimeraner and Border Terrier. In terms of 'mass' probably the same as your two! Its a struggle to get a buggy in without the roof box, but i can get jackets, bags etc, a scooter!
  5. Hi there, I have an Octy Estate. Two children, two dogs... sometimes need a roof box, but can mostly get away with out it. I have rigged up a cargo net against seats at rear of boot. Amazing what you can cram in there!
  6. Hi there, We have had it about 4 months. To be fair, about 4 weeks ago i had fuel injectors replaced (Skoda have recalled some VRS's) and from what i have read in some cases it has caused issues. Its just been soot build up.. but again from the forum it seems that it is more of an issue with the PD engines that had the DPF retro fitted. The exhaust doesn't get hot enough to burn it off. Obviously every individual will have their own experience's of the DPF, with their own driving pattern's, but for us it just hasn't worked out. I dont want to get rid of the car and like you want the benefits of better fuel economy. I'm leaning towards getting the DPF removed and then keeping it for the long term. You may well find the feedback of CR Diesels drivers to be very different. All the best...what ever you decide!
  7. I am in Central London and am fairly new to an Octavia. Don't use the car to commute, but even with fairly light use at weekends have had DPF light on several times in recent months. I have needed to drive up M11 to Harlow and back to clear it. Last week DPF, Glow Plug and Engine Management Lights came on in quick succession, car went in limp mode. £180 to have forced regen/get car back on the road. We are faced with sale of car for a petrol or removal of DPF. I certainly regret getting a diesel. Sorry to be negative! Otherwise fantastic car!
  8. Sorry to read this Miller! Skoda dealer didnt get the chance to look at mine on Saturday, so awaiting feedback tomorrow. Did have a very interesting chat with Shark Performance. Considering removing DPF. Was worried about MOT implications, but have been reassured that no car they have removed DPF has experienced problems passing. With removal and remap in region of 700 quid and replacment 1000 + seems like a no brainer. Am i missing something (other than likely increase in insurance premium)?
  9. Hello all, I had my injectors done just before Christmas. Not noticed a change in performance, but have begun to experienced DPF issues. Warning light has come on a couple of times, but i have managed to clear it by running the car on the motorway. Unfortunately it has come on this evening, quickly followed by glow plug warning, then engine management - the car is in 'limp mode'. Got the car booked it at a main dealer for tomorrow. Nightmare. Anyhow, considering i did not experience DPF issues prior to the new injectors, what are my chances of Skoda UK covering the cost of sorting the car out? Mine is a 56 plate. Any feedback much appreciated.
  10. Hello all, My VRS at dealer today as glow plug warning light came on twice in recent days. They are not certain that injectors are the issue, but have informed me they will be fitting new injectors due to recall free of charge. Big relief as car has been running a little 'lumpy' and with warning light, i was fearing the worst.
