  1. The towbar electrics need to be coded to the canbus, especially if you have reverse sensors.
  2. Garage fixed it today, thanks to BLACKBIRD'S suggestion. Very cheap, just a new pipeclip.
  3. Many many thanks B1ackb1rd, took it to my local garage today, and mentioned your suggestion. 3 hours later they rang to say it was the boost pipe. Replaced pipe clip, back on the road now. Thanks again, I owe you!! BB
  4. Hi Northrol, I have an appointment with a local garage on Friday. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm only prepared to spend a certain amount on sensors etc. If it's a major job the car is scrap. It is 10years old.
  5. Sorry I can't help, but I have the same lights on. My post "Roomster limping " is close to your's.
  6. OK folks that was fun. From my point of view it's verydifficult to spot 4x4 in an online ad without scrolling through a load of irrelevent photos.
  7. Thanks again Blackbird. Mine sounds normal and drives OK except no oomph. Only noise was the initial bang. Presumably your's was noisy as you drove on?
  8. It would be great if it was something simple. I have no idea where to find the boost pipe. I'll go and look at all pipes in the engine department but if someone coulld indicate where to look I would be very grateful. Thanks for reading. BB
  9. Driving about 35mph in third gear, put my foot down to overtake, at about 45mph there was a bang under the car ( like a stick in wheel arch) The car lost power and powered up again 3-4 times in 10 seconds, then settled down in limp mode. Curly glow plug light orange, later the pic of an engine light came on in orange too. Drove on and a nd parked at home to wait for my favoured garage to come out of lockdown. In the meantime has anyone any idea what the problem could be? Thanks for any ideas or suggestions.
  10. Thanks for that, Is there an eaasy way to tell which models are 2wd?
  11. Thanks for all the tips so far. I'm baffled by SCR in the model numbers, I can figure out most of the other abbreviations though
  12. Thanks Robjon, I've never had a car without a spare wheel. Getting a bit nervous about a Yeti in view of that.
  13. Thanks for the reply, Don't know yet what model of Yeti, Looking for guidance. I need diesel, manual, Probably 2 litre ( are all diesels 2L ?) I tow a lightweight folding caravan ( 750kg) Not sure about 2/4 wheel drive. 2wd roomster pulls it OK. Thanks again. BB
  14. Hello Yeti people. Roomster owner here, thinking of buying a Yeti to replace a dying Roomie. Question is - Does the Yeti have a towing hitch as standard. If you answer could you please tell me if there's anything I should specially watch for buying a Yeti. Thanks for any help.
  15. Sorry, didn't spot this question earlier. It's fairly straightforward to replace the resistor. It's a straight plug in, can be difficult to remove the old one, there is a squeeze catch each endi It's in. an awkward position to grip it and pull but I managed without skinning my knuckles. I bought a new resistor on ebay ( new, cheap, and it works)
  16. Maybe he used the wrong (Thicker) oil
  17. I had a new ignition lock barrel fitted at Skoda main dealer recently. £168 including recoding 2 keys to suit it.
  18. Is it the whole blower? I've done the blower resistor via the glove box.
  19. Try operating the windows over the full range open close using the plip key
  20. Why not a suction pump through the dipstick hole? It's what the garages use. About £40 and you have cheap oil changes for life, Simple to do, clean, and you are guaranteed the corect grade of oil if you buy it yourself.
  21. I had these symptoms plus a few others. It was the loom between car and tailgate within the rubber gaiter - Good luck!
  22. Sorry, can't remember. But it was supplied by an independent fitter. Wirng loom ws a seperate order. All in supplied and fitted and registered to canbus £450 + or - Just shows a generic picture of a trailer when reverse selected if towing.
  23. Hi David, I have a flange type, very small cutout at bottom of rear bumper. No interference with reverse sensors. I had 19 pin wiring which integrates with canbus and shows a trailer when I select reverse (If I'm Towing)
  24. The lights are not on the tailgate on my roomster. Have you got something different?
