The most recent rainX is also a cleaner/degreaser, have used it for yrs with no problems... Changing your wiper blades every year isn't a bad idea when you think about the hostile environment they live in...

I'm 5'11 and have my seat as low as it will go, like to feel i'm down inside the car rather than sitting propped up on a bar stool... If my seat is up high I tend to bang my skull getting in and out...

I have just traded in my tired out old 55 plate 1.9 pd estate for a nice new shiny 61 plate 1.6cr se, and I gotta say i'm mighty impressed so far... I was just wondering if there??? are many tweaks possible via VCDS ? I ask because the display in centre of my dash doesn't look as busy as the maxidot in my old elegance... Also, is there much point in a remap on a 1.6cr ?

Gotta agree with liverpool lad... Spend most u can on front end and amp em, i'v always disliked 6x9s. But they can be used as a compromise for some bass if you aint runnin a sub...

Like mannyo says, you get what you pay for, if you pay 135 for a unit with loads of spec IT WILL have limited performance and life span... Visit your local car audio specialist or halfrauds an have a play with whats on display, be warned though you'll probably end up blowin double your budget...

Go into octy mk2 forum and browse/search til you find a pic of a dash then check out the stereo, thats double din...

Nope double din basically means the hole in dash is double the depth you have at present, like you see in most modern cars these days... Take out your coin tray and hey presto you'll have double din...

Ok just thought i'd ask cos i'v got a full alpine set up from my old mk1... Motorised 7 inch screen, plays CD, DVD, MP3 amp, speakers 12inch sub, wiring etc its a few yrs old now (perfect condition) BUT not touch screen or SD card or ipod capable... So probably not what your lookin for.

Just realised u said its an 04 AND its posted in the mk1 forum DOH... The measurements sound like single DIN so should slot straight in, how much you lookin to spend ?
