  1. Kelly_Heroes, do you have a picture of the two wires in question.
  2. Have a look at the front of the engine, your looing for a black pipe 2" in diameter and with a big silver ring around it, when you fit it back in make sure it "clicks", you may need to buy a new securing clip for about £1.50 but that's alot cheaper than a new turbo
  3. It's moulded and you can't split it, have you tried the suction method to see if the diaphram is leaking !
  4. Part number for mine was S03G129711as, all you have to do is ring them with your reg number and they will know which inlet manifold you have.
  5. The actuator only moves an arm which opens up the swirl flaps, the most likely cause is the bar that runs through the inlet manifold is probably worn, I had this problem on mine and it's not a cheap fix £365 + vat just for the inlet manifold plus fitting so make sure it is that before you blow your cash.
  6. Thats the swirl flap actuator, it works on vaccum to opperate the swirl flaps inside the inlet manifold, you can check for a split yourself, just get a piece of tube the same diameterand attach it to the actuator and suck on the tube, once you've moved the are by suction place your tounge over the pipe and see if the arm moves back, if it does then the diaphiam has a leak and you need to replace.
  7. Is any body else having the same problem !!!!! I've had the injectors and new loom done on my 07 VRS 170 but ever since I've noticed that at a steady speed the car feels like it's pulsing, almost like it has air going through the injectors and giving a reduction in power for a millisecond, it also has a little stutter when you press the throttle as well. I've remapped the car and it's still the same, I also have a map ready to load when I remove the insides of the DPF and weld it back up but I really need to sort this problem before I move on to do that. If I took it to a garage I would struggle to get the machanic to under stand what I mean as it only a very slight thing......just like driving on a slightly uneven road with slightly stiffened susspension, more of a niggle than anything else.
  8. "you men cant do anything for yourself without the guidance and organisation from a woman" = Bossy
  9. Sorry mate I'm not local but welcome.
  10. Was auto tune around 15 years ago when they were in the charts............it must have been, they were absolute rubbish.
  11. BUT........if you had a remap, imagine the smile on your face when you press the loud pedal
  12. Did someone get a Halfords gift voucher for Christmas Did it come in a kit with a 6" exhaust pipe and a 72" sub speaker
  13. Had a look around and can't seem to find a "guide"......guess I'll have to make one when I do mine, I've now put the map back on to take it to the "DPF" max of 205/207 BHP, need to have a look at the exhaust at the weekend and see what sort of job it is.
  14. Has anybody done a DPF removal as a DIY project !!, I'm going to remove mine soon, I have the map already to download to the ecu but was interested in knowing what sort of a job it is to remove, cut and empty the DPF. Any pictures would be great.
  15. I've used the TDI tuning box on a common rail TDI (VP37) worked realy well and gave a good "bang for the buck" it also gave me about 8-10 mpg aswell, wait for one to come up on ebay cheap, and remember to put it a water proof bag as they dont like moisture very much.......£10 a week in a jar in the garage will give you a "good ride" in 5 months time when you get it remaped.
