  1. Problematic rear wiper, tried to remove rear wiper arm, seems jammed on do not want to prise to much incase rear window smashes. So keep applying releasing spray. Has any one modified rear washer on mk2 ocatavias. Not keen on drilling metal work and paint. Had thought disconnecting washer pipe but unsure where.Ive seen numerous torq screws on casing but do not have those sizes, can it be modified any way or not.
  2. Thanks, I found screw took it out seem to of snapped all clips along lower tailgate edge where lock is, not quite got cover off, feels nailed on.. Siren location would that be seen when o/s head lamp is removed. Thanks for info, most welcome. Will try and fix problems when i have a few hours free time
  3. Where would i find Alarm siren in mk2 octavia, i do not have workshop manual for car as my car is not covered by it. Also looking to see how plastic trim panel on tailgate comes off without snapping clips off, as rear wiper has stopped working. All fuses Ok
  4. Thanks for that, will take a look , faulty sensor on bonnet, dont recall seeing a switch under bonnet, will take a look on threads here to find out where siren lives, was supprised that car horn was not linked into alarm
  5. Apears to be alarm going off without siren, one problem solved but whats setting it off and why dose siren not sound
  6. I have been alerted to fact of my cars hazard lights flashing when car is locked parked up, slower than they do when in normal use. Alarm has not been activated all doors windows shut.. Any ideas
  7. Ive bought som dpf cleaner to mix in fuel going to give that a try see how it goes, has any one tried it?

  10. Ive had glow plug light come on, gave car a blast seemed to cure, came on again along with engine light both orange. Friend plugged car in to his reader, P2455. Had this twice i had given car 2 good runs 60mph 2-2500 rpm 4th gear seemed ok for 2wk. Had 2 good runs sat sun, light on again. What products can i try to get issues sorted. What are the options apart from getting rid
  11. When i locked my car with remote whilst having rest inside car the alarm went off, how can i stop this happening again
  12. Not checked anything other than oil water levels. I do not have manual for this car, so unsure where to look other than basics
  13. A new problem where to start Quite a few times recently when coming to a stop in traffic or ready to park the Revs are around 12-1300, normally around 7-800. Have noticed the Temp guage rises quicker as well. On a short trip around 8 mile yesterday 2 around 30-40mph rest up to 70 when i came to park up revs at 1300. let enginge tick over awhile before turning off, the Fans were working overtime. Popped bonnet some heat underneath. water level ok never moved for ages since levels settled after new water pump. Went to check Oil level smoke started billowing out of dipstick tube.. Oil level is ok I had simillar event few week back after 10 mile trip to work mainly 70mph a noticable smell and of heat comming from grill and fan was working when turned off. Any ideas what maybe occuring
