Hi folks, I have a 2008 Octavia VRS Diesel It's the Cega CR engine. Timing belt Is due.. 2 options are coming up for me. 160 tooth belt and 141 tooth belt. How do I tell which i need without taking it out? Thanks very much!!!

I have a 07 Vrs Pd170 diesel. I've now been without it for 13 months. It started out with a flat spot on acceleration, this turned out to be a mismatch between the original ECU and the new injectors that were fitted on 2011. since this has been sorted the car has been smoking ridiculously when it warms up only! And only when it's sitting idle. It is also not idling smoothly. I have replaced the injector seals to no avail. Another mechanic has suggested he could slightly adjust the camshaft. I had the DPF removed and mapped out in 2012 also. PLEASE PLEASE help as I am at the end of my tether with this piece of ****!!!

I know, but it was worth a try, I'm having zero luck. Skoda will not sell me an actuator on its own- mind blowing

hi, L14MNV, I'm having the exact same issues with mine at the minute! I have a 2007 VRS TDI, same issues and the same problem, in not being able to locate an actuator - there is no chance I am forking out for a new turbo when my one is perfectly fine! - Any help would be much appreciated! Jason

Story so far, had it plugged in in Skoda main dealer, and no faults came up... the mechanic predicted that it is possibly an issue with the actuator on my turbo, but to try clean out my air intake manifold first. If it comes to it, where can I get an actuator and any idea on the price? Cheers

Ah stop haha, I wouldn't mind, I planned on selling it! To be more exact, last year I got a re-map put on it and it had these flat spots but less severe, so I got the re-map removed and it was fine again, and all of a sudden it was back the other day but 10x worse :(

I don't think it is the diesel... It's flat spotting in the same places each time & I had the dpf removed last year.... Cheers

Hi lads, as stated above, I have a 07 octavia vrs tdi and something really isn't right with it. On acceleration through the revs there are various flat spots where there is no power that last maybe 500 rpm before the power kicks back in..... The car was driving perfectly up until two days ago. I had it scanned today and no faults showed up... Has anyone ever experienced this? Thanks in advance
