When will this begin and for how long?
-
Ordered mine end of June here in NL. Expected build just before Christmas, but it's ominouslly quiet
-
It's an internationally recognised system, part of ISO recommendations After March 30 next year no longer applicable in UK I believe, but do you need them on haywains?
-
Ordered two weeks ago with the info that it will be built in January

Upgrading the Canton Speakers - anyone done it?
MacFadyin replied to FabFabFabia's topic in Skoda Karoq
I read somewhere that the Canton is also fitted as standard on the Bentley. Sorry duff gen but can't delete it -
I used this on the Yeti to follow my expenses but trying to link it to posts now has it showing all my details. Is there a way to do it that only yhr moleage/tank details appear or do I have to create a new account?
-
all caps, no option for lower case. Only thing either of us think possible is a B or 8 but have tried that
-
Trying to set this up, asked for the VIN, which 2 of us have entered independently but Always get VIN not recognised

Possible software update available
MacFadyin replied to doublev's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
seems to have been done last week when winter tyres/rims were fitted. No updates showing as outstanding -
you can set a reminder to take the Phone with you. Displayed when you switch off
-
Just collectedCombi with amongst other goodies, Phonebox. Unfortunately I can't get my HTC One Maxi to hook up with this. It's also a bit battered and worn. What would be the best Phone to buy to replace it and take advantage of cordless charging etc.?
-
IIRC it'll be an ISO standard button
-
The bullet has been bitten; after 4 1/2 years of faithfull service Skoddy is leaving home. Not only him but my old Chevy is going too - this after more than 20 years. Small consolation though, Skoddy's replacement is a Superb Combi - loaded for bear, as the cousins say.
-
Just over three years old and looks like he miight be going. Visited the dealer todat and looked at the Superb Combi Very interesting or do I wait for the new Yeti next year. I no longer do the huge mileages that made a deisel attractive, in fact, being rather heavily damaged due to the higher tax on diesel and road tax here. The 44 feature was great, but has only been used a couple of times, I'm on a ploughed route and if it's bad enough to need 4x4 I can now just stay at home. Only minus on the Superb seems to be the lower seating and lower door. Shall have to do some sums

No, no rattles or anything. The garage was closing when i collected the car, only the receptionist and she told me Torsion damper. Away for a couple of days, will check when back on Thursday.
-
just took Skodi for his Dutch MOT, four years old, only 2 litre diesel DSG) 48000k on the clock (used to do that a year) He failed due split gaiters on the front drive shafts and also "torsie demper" (torsional damper. Is that the same as DMF?) is on the way out. How many hours labour to ix it?
-
Had mine remapped here in NL by VAgtune.. Since sailed through the equivalent of the MOT at the local dealers with no problems. Not who you know but what they know. VAG here have announced a recall beginnning in January. Not compulsive and np mention of any recompense
-
definitely worth waiting. Rewriting the software under the recall would reset the Original values

54 pin female ECU connector VAG 1-1355928-3
MacFadyin replied to MacFadyin's topic in Handy Topics & Guides
I'll give that a try. Do the diagrams give the pin allocation in the connectors? The cables are supposedly orange/brown and orange/black but both look identical -
Has anybody got information on which pin does what? I need to find which pin is for CAN high and which for CAN low Thanks
-
After 14 years of waiting, the Octavia vRS 4x4 is available!
MacFadyin replied to ColinD's topic in Motoring News
I fancy that, but taxes here in NL will almost double the price -
Just had a mail from the company: orange with black wire is CAN high orange with brown strip is CAN low I must be colour blind. I see no difference
-
I had some doubts about the Kufatec canbus adaptor mentioned in the other thread so ordered the one from Car-Equipment. No instructions except : Connection: Orange - CAN High Brown - CAN Low Red - 12V Black - GND Unfortunately mine has different wiring 2 orange/brown or is one brown/orange? Glad I'm not a bomb disposal expert 1 red/black and 1 black - This has a ring terminal on it so pretty sure that's earth Presently doing one step forward, two back BTW Just discovered the door lock is electrically operated,
