  1. Thanks for all the suggestions. It runs on 14" alloys fitted with Mitchelin Crossclimates at recommended pressures for light loads which I frequently check using 2 gauges! It has always "pogoed" but I am driving it more regularly now and notice it more, shocks are not leaking. I need to check whether the alloys were a factory fit or aftermarket - how can I tell? Maybe the Greentec pressure rating is higher than necessary, on my other Skoda there is an eco pressure which is 0.3 bar greater than light load setting.
  2. Has anyone found an inexpensive way to improve ride quality - our 2012 Citigo Greentec has always felt like riding a pogo stick unless we are fully loaded?
  3. No worries, it is always satisfying to find a zero cost, easy repair!
  4. I had a similar issue with a 2009 Superb when the fog lights were turned on. This was caused by the wiring into the twin hatch wearing with the constant opening / closing cracking the sheaths and shorting. No further issues after stripping it out and soldering in more flexible wires.
  5. I am wondering if it is possible to use VCDS to set a 2015 Bolero in a Fabia 1.2SEL to enable use of aftermarket amp in the same way the RCD510 and Columbus can? Ideally I do not want to use a LOC as I want to use the pre-amplified feed rather than speaker level. Any other ideas gratefully considered!
  6. Update - forgot to mention that this is in a 2015 1.2 tsi SEL combi and panic over, after a lot of trial and error the problem was insufficient door handle cable movement due to the end of the black plastic sheath being mashed up and not locating into its carrier in the lock. I removed the access panel, stripped off the plastic sheath up to the old insertion mark and that provided enough cable slack to allow the handle and lock to work correctly. Be warned, if you remove door cards make sure the cable sheath is correctly located when refitting.
  7. I have removed the door cards (to replace speakers) and having refitted them the drivers door would not open from inside, so I removed the door card again and re-fitted the cable. To test it I flipped the plastic lock catch in the door with a screwdriver, pulled the handle and as it worked, shut the door and used the internal locking switch to lock the car. When I opened the door from inside no issues, but when I tried the central locking neither front doors will lock but the alarm activates, the rears and tailgate lock OK. Have I upset its locking brain and is there a fix PLEASE!! As both front doors have been removed it could be one or both of them that are causing the problem. I have tried locking the drivers door manually which partially works, it cracks open but does not completely release but the passenger doors remains unlocked. It is set to open only the drivers door on first remote click. Thanks....
  8. Thanks. Declaring is no problem as I am over 60 so there should'nt be many exta £££, but I want something that I can take to my next vehicle and a remap cant be transferred.
  9. Hello Does anyone have any experience of them or similar? I am looking for more overtaking grunt for my 2015 Fabia mk 3 1.2 tsi 110 estate Thanks
  10. Hello, can anyone give me some pointers (pictures) for the best way the run a power supply from the battery into the cabin on passenger side? Thanks
  11. Tried again this morning no change - got any other ideas?
  12. No change wrong door still shows and no reversing image etc.. Is it important to connect leads together immediately they are disconnected as they did not meet so I had to get another cable to bridge them? I will try again tomorrow as now too dark and misty. Thank you for helping with this!
  13. Columbus failed to turn on the other day but after a short stop it came back to life and was fully functional. Just to be on the safe side I did a soft re-set (if that is what it is called) using both the upper left and far right buttons. It re-started seeming OK but when I tried to use Nav there was no guidance in the MFD screen (the one between the speedo and rev counter). Other things were also missing from MFD screen such as the nav, audio and convenience settings and on the Columbus the car sensor image has disappeared and most bizarrely MFD now thinks the right hand door is the left hand door when opened. So questions are 1) could I have deleted or modified coding by a soft re-set or is there another issue and 2) can this be fixed by some coding work? Other information that is probably significant is that the car is 2009 Elegence and the Columbus was replaced about 3 years ago with a more recent exchange unit that has the mike button top right and since then the Nav voice directions have not worked, but as I usually had them turned right down that did not bother me. Any suggestions for an easy fix, should I reset Columbus to factory settings or will I loose my speed camera mapping? Thanks...? Just found the Columbus info - it is an "E" running 4120 if that helps?
  14. Yes had them (205/55/16 all extra load) for 1500 miles and so far the temperature has remained above 10 deg C and it has been dry so nothing to report on the winter usage front!! They are slightly less grippy, noisier and feel harder during day time warm temperatures, but that may be just me knowing I am on all seasons. I think they are a great idea if they work!!
