  2. which pumps? most filling stations manned by people behind a desk and wont no the differance as i have asked at shell the differance between ordinary and v power derv and all they say is the price.i work in haulage and get about 20000 litres a month from differant suppliers each time, price dependant, and the tanker drivers out of grangemouth fill out off same tanks bp,shell, tesco, asda morrisons .FACT
  3. in scotland all derv deliveries comes out of grangemouth oil refinary.Every brand of derv comes out of same tank. FACT there is no differance in any of the fuels
  4. had a vw caddy van with 18x8 alloys and 225/40/18. was like driving on ice every time it rained
  5. went to local motor factors to get new rear discs and pads last week only to be told dealer only parts. 272 mm discs and pads not available thru factors yet. cost me £140 total at skoda dealer. OUCH

  9. she doesnt no what i am fussing over, thinks both cars are to fast.she would follow a tractor allday rather than pull out and overtake. spoke to jim at star performance in kirkcady fife.he can take the ecu out and wave his majic wand at it and boost power upto 180 bhp and 375 nm torque, me thinks this would make a nice improvement, i will keep you posted
  10. hi guys, thanks for the comments. checked at the weekend the golf is a 140 tdi pd and the scout is 140 cr. when i meen gutless my previous 1.9 tdi pd 105 bhp felt a lot faster of the mark. golf has done 45k and scout 14k
  11. hi guys, recently got a 10 plate scout 140 tdi and compared to my partners 140 tdi golf sportwagen on a 09 plate the scout is gutless, dealer says its normal as its 4 wheel drive but i am not convinced. any 1 else come accross this diferance.
  12. hey, whats wrong with a tin tent? prefer to have my own bed when on holiday on the med. been a bit windy and snowy here.not the weather for the scout to come out the garage yet
  13. joined a few weeks ago and thought i better say hello to everyone.i have been looking at this site for 2 years now when i got my first octavia 1.9 tdi estate.it was a 07 plate elegance and covered 46000mls in 2 and a half years and was faultless.Only sold it when i stumbled across a 10 plate tdi scout in rosso being traded in,Had scout 2 months now and love it.it is a big improvement on my older 1. cant wait to get caravan on back to see how it handled. Only disappointment so far,NO MUD FLAPS AVIALABLE from dealer, big tyres can pick up a lot o crap and throw at front of caravan.
  14. hi guys, i recently bought a 10 plate scout as a tow car. now horrified to find that dealer cant supply mud flaps. dont want any flying debree to hit front of caravan.any idea where i can get decent flaps from.dont want to make up diy flaps
