  1. Funny you should mention that, that's exactly the one I just bought. It says its not compatible with my Superb though. :-(
  2. I'm looking for a rear bike rack too. Using a roofbox already so can't put them there and can't have a towbar as its a company car. Any suggestions?
  3. Finally got aroud to sorting this out. Turns out it was the clear 25amp fuse above your power tap. Cheers anyway :-)
  4. Is this a good idea? Don't want to inadvertantly 'reset' something I shouldn't...
  5. Bl00dy Hell! I got the money out straight away, just need to figure out how to fix it... Cheers for the warning though.
  6. Hi all, 'Somehow' some money has fallen into the 12v socket in the front console and (presumably) shorted the circuit. I've looked at the fuse (No35?) in the fuse box by the door but it seems fine. Are there any in line fuses I should know about? Thanks James
  7. Thanks that's worked nicely (even though it says in the manual that it doesn't support playlists). Just need to create a plylist for all my albums now! Cheers James
  8. Hi, I put a SD icard in my Bolero at the weekend for the first time. It doesn't seem to play the tunes in track number order but alphabetically (within the folder). Is there any way to change this? Thanks
  9. Hi, Is it possible to slelect which radio stations pick up the TP/TIM? I turned it on this morning at started getting travel info from halfway across the country!! cheers
  10. 215? Black Magic 2011 Superb SE Hatch with Bluetooth and Spare tyre. Very smooth so far :-)
  11. Hi, I receieved by Skoda Suberb this morning and can confirm that the rSAP on my Galaxy S2 works fine. However, when I try to transfer the contacts it fails straight away. Anyone got any ideas as to why that muight be? Thanks
  12. Ok, I've had a go with a multimeter where the multiplug goes into the window motor. Both the red/brown and red/yellow wires have 12v going thru them. I'm having difficulty getting the panel by the a pillar off but am presuming if I have power by the window motor, the connection there is sound. I guess my next step is the window control unit, but before I do that, I'd like to check that power is going to the door mechanism. Is there a way of getting the door mechanism multiplug off without removing the mechanism itself? Thanks again.
  13. Have just spotted this: My link code: 1U4 839 099B Is the right part for the front door? Thanks
  14. Thank you, I may well take you up on it. I'm gonna have a rummage with a multimeter first though...
  15. Yep, all the other electrics work fine. Don't have access to VAG-COM so am gonna take a multimeter to the wiring loom and see where that gets me. cheers
  16. No, I'll check those when I attack the wiring with a multimeter, from memory isn't the fuse box under the drivers side dash? Thanks
  17. Right, I've had the panel off. The interior cable had snapped so thats easy enough to fix. As for the central locking, I looked at the multiplug and it looked pretty dry and ok to me. I had a look/listen with the panel off unlocking/locking and the lock did try a couple of times (very feebly) and then stopped trying. I'm gonna get a new lock mechanism but will this mean I need new keys? Thanks
  18. Hi Everyone, It seems like I'm having the common door lock issues on my Mk1 TDI 110 estate. Things that don't work: Remote lock/unlock doesn't work(works on all other doors). Inside door handle doesn't work (feels like its not attached to anything). Door LED doesn't flash when locked. Manual locking of door very intermittent (feels worn??). Things that do work: Electric windows Electric wing mirror Opening/Closing of windows if you hold key in place when turning. My main concerns are the interior door handle and manual locking of door not working. Would replacing the lock mechanism fix these issues? I've read the sticky about the door lock microswitch but I don't think its just that. Any advice/suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks James
  19. Hi, I've got the same issue. The red wire on the loom has corroded off and there seems to be more than one option to wire it back into. The best bet looks like the yellow wire on the autochanger but assumptions and electricity don't go well. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
  20. There are a few 04 plate 130L&K's out there, I looked at one the other day.
  21. If the pump/compressor (I'm presuming these are the same thing?) is knackered when they replace it do they have to re-gas the system again? I'm just trying to get an idea of how much this is gonna set me back... Ta Oh and if anyone know anyone that does air-con repairs in merseyside, I'd be very interedted. Thanks.
  22. No it doesn't. Have a had a good fiddle with no success.
  23. Yeah I do, just point me in the right direction?
  24. I've just got back from Kwik-fit to get my A/C gas topped up/changed on my elegance estate TDI. When they looked at the car they found that although there were no leaks, the compressor wasn't kicking in(?) They say it looked like an electrical fault and have done the gas anyway at no charge. When I flick the econ button on/off there is a definate blip in revs and when I look under the bonnet both the radiator fans spin up. Apart from that I don't know what to look for. I have read threads about looking at a belt to see if the clutch is spinning but I can't see much cos there's bits in the way. This is my first car with A/C so I'm a total novice, any suggestions on what to do next? Cheers Jimbo
