  1. Has anyone had done or have photos of the silver trim parts on the front and rear bumper wrapped in black like the Monte Carlo

I got a Hatcbag boot liner done for my yeti had it over 5 years now and still going strong also its in the 2nd yeti now as it was that good made of heavy grade waterproof rubbery type material available in range of colours and lots and lots op options as you can see i went for orange as i like orange and wanted to keep the inside cool for the dog as black would absorb the heat.

Use a rope between the trailer and towball and extend the distance between the trailer and the yeti so you don't get on the wet slippery stuff or just stay on the flat while lowering the yeti down the slipway.   5. Haven't a clue on another way to get to the egg other than the factory way. But my garage quoted £2 grand+ for replacing the egg if it needed changing as 90% of that is labour of raking all the exhaust,dpf,swingarm,subframe,driveshafts etc etc off it to get to it. Not an easy job but I'm sure somewhere I have seen a topic on doing a ear change diy style which was basically the same way as the factory. But they had the use of a pillar lift to get the whole car in the air to get access to the underneath.
  6. True no chassis my bad but does have a lot of steel runni gear and this is what I was referring to when I said had rusted to very bad flaking standards. Also what does it matter where a car is built if they all share the same Land Rover badge they should all have the same build standards not different ones.
  7. Sat in a Range Rover evoke once whe. Looking for a new car for the missus. Could not get the seat low enough for my head to be not pressed into the roof I'm only 6foot. And looked underneath the chassis and was amazed by the amount of corrosion on the underneath it was flaking off in chunks of rust. Don't get me wrong I would love to restore a defender if I had the space but that would have to be on a galvanised chassis and rebuilt from the ground up. Just would not trust build or mechanical quality from the Land Rover factory also after working with land rovers for 19 years in the army they can do the job but bloody hell they need looking after.
  8. I asked this at my last service and it because the engine will check the quality of the oil once serviced and give you a service reminder for the future. So makes sure that the oil was changed on the service and not just reset
  9. Heading north on Saturday afternoon on the M5 just for a short while though before joining the 303
  10. Anybody else tow the boats with yetis out there just finished a holiday in Cornwall and towed the boat down with us. Saw a F/L black yeti launching a small sailing yacht in mylor Falmouth so got me thinking how many others go afloat via the yeti. Here's my 5.8 rib under tow by the yeti.
  11. You can do this on the Columbus sat nav I have activated it once but you have to be classed as off-road I believe
  12. Was looking at a 4x4 f/l Octavian before i got the 4x4 yeti and to be honest the yeti is the stronger choice for me. Better specced and nice ride in the yeti than the Octavia. The big thing that also swayed me was the driving environment with the yeti you have loads of room to relax stick it on cruise control and sit back and watch the miles fall away. The Octavia I found was too enclosed it felt like the console was built around the driver and was very close unlike the yeti which is very spacious and room to move. And being 6 ft plus the Octavia was poor on knee room not offensive but just had that niggle. So ended up with another yeti. The 4x4 140 is atrocious on fuel around town and stop start journeys but once out on the motorway it gets better mpg than my previous green line yeti.

But after refitting the back of my car after fitting the tow electrics I had a little play around with the parcel shelf and with quite a bit of jiggling and manoeuvring you can get the parcel in with the travall dog guard fitted. But why you would want to have both in at the same time is beyond me.

  15. No if you want maxidot you need to buy a maxidot dial cluster. Either second hand (and get mileage altered) or buy a new one and input mileage Do a search for maxidot retrofit

  18. Get the travall guard no drilling required and fits in under a minute and removes just as quick. Mk2 (facelift) are the same inside as pre F/L
  19. Well on one of the photos it has badge saying Amundsen but I doubt that'll be the name seeing as it's the name of the cheaper sat nav
  20. Been contemplating adding front sensors as well the only stumbling block is drilling the front bumper do you know if anyone makes a template as I don't want it to look like a bodged mess. The main reason is I would like to fill the space under the climatronic with some buttons than having empty blanks that I have at the moment can you also retrofit Tpm as well.
  21. Found it thought it was something different when I first looked at it. Swapped it for my previous Bluetooth unit which is a lot easier to program and use also has Bluetooth streaming which I could not get to work on the factory fitted option. Got the voice control to work with vcds but only with the phone still trying to work out to get it working so it controls radio,Nav,media etc etc Can activate on vcds and help screen shows up on Columbus but it doesn't hear me when I activate and speak to it. Also I have a 0010 error on my microphone. Is this all realated to how the wires are connected on my Columbus at the back do I need to swap some pins.
  22. The current yeti is a elegance with phone prep originally had a bolero but just swapped it for my Columbus and the Bluetooth is working in both so I guess is a independant system. The buetooth I had before was a lot more intelligent and the voice commands and streaming actually worked but this pre installed version is rubbish. So was going to try and find out where it is and see if I can swap the box over.
  23. I used to have a greenline2 SE that I retrofitted VAG Bluetooth which went under the drivers seat and then wires ran up to the Columbus unit. I have recently got a 59plate 140 4x4 elegance which comes with Bluetooth built in but I cannot find where they have located the Bluetooth module as I'm looking at switching it with the newer style one I had from before as it has more options. But it's not located under the drivers seat and have so far by taking things apart been unable to locate it. Does anyone have any ideas or know where it is located. Thanks Ross....
  24. Just download from here edit. Link to illegal download removed as we do not allow them on briskoda. and create your own dvd i got the one with speed cameras and works perfectly And worked faultlessly in france as well.
