  1. Hi Guys, I have been recommend to move this to the fabia 2 forum from the newbie post, so apologies if you've read this before. Well I'm in the dog house! I read the car mags, did the fiscal analysis and came to the conclusion that a new Fabia tdi 105bhp (march 2011) would be the best for the missus. All seemed fine at the beginning although the throttle felt a bit flat compared to the demonstrator of the same power. Then after our summer holiday the yellow oil light came on. I checked the oil level all was fine. The light has never re-lit. So thought not much of it. More recently we noticed the head lights dimming on taking up drive in either 1st or reverse whilst parking...which seemed odd as this is indicative of a weak battery yet the car was only 6 months old. Then PS electric window stopped working, but re-settable by rolling down with the key fob button then rolling all the way back up. After a couple of weeks it had to be reset a further couple of times. This ain't right on a new car so got it booked in to Cambridge vindis. They checked it this am and got back to us with, replace window motor, recharge the battery, even after a 40 min drive to the garage, and there is a leak on the turbo system which they're fixing, this hopefully will explain the stodgy throttle response. The poor charging of the battery has yet to explained as the alternator has been checked by them and passes the test...the typical 10 mile commute to work is sufficient to charge the battery in a 1.9L passat even last year in the deeps of winter with everything on... So my questions are: Has anyone else had battery charge issues? What was the resolution...as our battery and alternator both test healthy yet the ipso facto is that the battery is not taking charge... Does anyone else's Fabia's headlights dim when the clutch is released and drive is take up whilst parking? As we've told that this is quite common on Fabias if you don't have a bit of throttle on Cheers for any insights
