  1. New and unused Powerflex 24 mm bushes, Octavia 1Z fitment. The package has been opened, so will show some signs of ripping etc but these have never been fitted Part number: PFF85-503-24 £25 delivered or £20 collected (Bridgend S.Wales)
  2. Brand new, unopened Febi front bump stops Part number 23590. £10 delivered, £8 collected (Bridgend S.Wales)
  3. Similar setup to mine, I would ensure you are now running on 5w40 oil (better for mildy tuned engines)- I use VW Quantum Bare minimum I would also have your DV checked, and the PCV too If you want to push the boat out even more, an inlet valve decarbon would ensure you're getting maximum power with your setup. Myself personally, I have done all the above plus fitted the NGK Iridum plugs, Audi R8 coilpacks and removed the pre-cat Hope this helps :-)
  4. HI Willgeenty, I have the same car (2008 2.0TFSI) with similar mileage and also remapped to 250BHP, I am however unaware of those procedures you have mentioned ....but for me I have deleted the PCV (replaced with a Forge partial delete kit) and upgraded the DV to the GFB DV+ to eliminate these common points of failure. I would recommend an injector service and also have the inlet valves and intake manifold manually cleaned. This should restore any lost power I would have thought
  5. I want to replace mine as well...the only place I have seen is through ebay direct from the manufacturer in Australia and the postage is enough to put me off for now
  6. Hope you don't mind me commenting, But I have seen some recent posts on Facebook relating to shoddy craftsman-ship with Brembo disks. Some people even suspecting there are fakes being supplied to motor factors. Personally I have used MTEC disks and Redstuff pads and have found them to be excellent. Also IIRC, the rear disks can come in 2 size variants, so it is worthwhile getting outside with a ruler and double checking before ordering
  7. I'll start by saying I know very little about VCDS, so please forgive my ignorance! My car, after having it's inlet manifold and inlet valves cleaned is presenting me with two error codes (used my Carista app) P3193 and P1098, I believe my first port of call would be to set the module to its Basic Settings? My local indie garage has advised me he has done this, but the codes keep re appearing. His device is a Snap-on reader/ modifyer however and I don't believe this will necessarily do the same things as VCDS. I would like to know your thoughts folks, do you think this would be sufficient? Also, does anyone know of anywhere/ anyone in South Wales that could carry out this task? Thanks in advance
  8. Hi there, I have a REVO stage 1 map on my TFSI- I can't fault it all. However, I would recommend from my understanding and reading other peoples opinions on the matter to have a look at R-Tech Performance in Leicestershire....Nikki Gower really knows his stuff.
  9. I have this exact same issue on my Octavia- only been apparent the last couple of weeks. Sadly I can't offer any advise but I follow this thread with interest!
  10. I have the Whiteline antiroll bar fitted to mine, I also fitted the Powerflex "Handling" pack, which included the console bushes. Most people seem to recommend uprating these console bushes, you can buy them as part of an anti lift kit from the likes of Poweflex/ Superpro/ Whiteline for around £130-160. I would also say that the lower engine torque mount bush is highly recommended- I noticed a big change from this alone. Neither of these "have" to be done at the same time as the ARB but to me it makes sense to have it done all in one fell swoop. I have no real opinion on splitters, but am looking into getting a Rhinolip one soon as they are flexible and should allow for any speed bump mishaps etc
  11. I have a 2008 VRS Petrol, with the exact same symptoms. I have fitted a new pressure valve (apparently a common failure) It was re-gassed on Tuesday of this week, and by the end of the same day...all gas gone. This is after they performed vacuum tests on it and confirmed there is no pressure loss. I am interested to see how you fare and am looking into solutions for mine also
  12. Ill have the auto light switch mate, can pick up as im in Bridgend too :-)
  13. Hi all, I have what appears to be an oil leak from the gasket seal on my VRS 2.0TFSI- changing the gasket is not a problem, but having taken a look at a tutorial elsewhere- http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=7920.0 The forum user has said to fit a new rocker cover too....I am just wondering what is the reason behind this If anyone has done this themselves and has any tips Thanks in advance, Adam
  14. Genuine VAG oil is usually the recommendation, mine took just under 3 litres when I changed it
  15. I have exactly the same symptoms as you describe, I bought mine second hand with the original Whiteline supplied bushes and the creaking at low speeds is very noticeable Mine was MoT'd at the weekend and it certainly didn't cause it any concern with my assessor. I am going to look into getting some Urathene bushes on there soon to see if that helps I am very interested in what responses you get
  16. This is what I thought as well, until I got underneath and checked and saw mine was a 10mm Allen head. May be worth having a quick look to be completely sure (I have the same engine/ gearbox combo by the way)
