Thanks everyone for all the tips! I removed mine this morning and gave it a good long soak in piping hot water, poked it with a pin and blasted some compressed air though it from a can of aerosol duster (see gallery pic). Worked a treat !! All wishy-washy again at the back now :D Cheers, Sy

@ColinF ... Quick clarification, did you carve away the base of the ashtray holder to take the TomTom? I've just recently stumbled across thus post of yours and thought I'd give it a try. As you described, the tray comes out easily enough, but there still doesn't seem to be sufficient room to swallow a Go910 on it's own, never mind with the charging base ;-( Did you cut down the mount, too?
